When you reach 30+, do you feel physically less stamina?

Hi guys,

I'm 33 and recently i keep hearing my friends around my age 34 - 38 claiming that they feel they are not physically as fit or energetic as before.

1) THey need more sleep, and cannot stay up too late into the night anymore. Also need more time to recover from lack of sleep.

2) Loss of libido... compared to before....

3) Stressed out and fatigue easily.....


Do you guys feel this too? Is there some type of supplement that can help?

I am also early 30s but I don't feel much change in terms of stamina. Maybe it's the lifestyle I adopted that kept me in this shape. Perhaps others can contribute their experience too?

You are at your peak physical fitness* at about 34yo or have the capability to be at your peak fitness. Most people dont have the same exercise regime at 30 as they did in their early twenties to allow them to realise this potential.
What stops this for most people is lifestyle and injuries (sportsman especially).
After that it is a long slow slide.

*fitness as in terms of endurance, your reflexes and actual speed are at their greatest at about 22. Notice Sprinters are about 20years old and marathon runners range from their late 20's to late 30s.

However there are ways around the slide, I have for the last 5 years due to an exercise regime been getting a little fitter and healthier each year as a result I feel a little younger each year. I am in my mid forties.
Practitioners of yoga, tai chi and in fact most martial arts manage to slow the slide considerably.

Diet, exercise and regularity of sex* are as much drivers of sexual energy as age.
Basically with sexual drive if you dont use it you lose it.

My advice to anyone in their mid thirties is if you dont have an exercise regime start one,  drink more water and watch your diet. Your capacity for repair markedly drops off at 40 and you just cant do the stuff to it you use to (3 day benders or a week of junk food).

Well, of course the body starts to naturally age after 35 or so.  But I am well above this age already, and I can tell you there is hope.  

I stay in shape and therefore can still go for multi-hour, multi-pop sessions - and can bounce back fairly quickly to do a repeat performance later the same day.  But, if I go on a bender I defiinately DONT recover like a 20-something.  I've actually had to stop in a session and roll over saying, "I'm sorry, babe, I'm just exhausted!  My heart is going to stop".  LB was willing and ready, but just didnt have any energy left.  (she was nice enough to BBBJ me then jump on top do all the work.

woah. chill man, dont need to get a little defensive here. im not criticising you or anything like that. im just wonderin since you mentioned you mastered that taoist method thing in your other thread so physical fitness shouldnt be a problem on the bed whn you hit the 30s?

Well, if you keep yourself in shape then you will be fine tbh bro. As someone who is into their fitness and nutrition, doing some exercise regularly has been a real benefit for me. The key is consistency, whether it's the gym, or jogging etc, you need to keep it up and do some form of exercise every week, and not just sex

Age is relative

Of course as you age things slow down.  The main point is to feel good.

To do that you need to constantly improve your diet and exercise as you age.

In your 20s you do what you like and usually have little or no price to pay.

As you age, the price for lack of exersice and bad diet has a higher and higher toll.

Good news is it happens slowly.  I am in my mid forties and feel great, love to have sex and party.  Just not as much as before or for as long, but I still love it.

I am very happy!.  Don't be afraid of growing old, be afraid of growing old badly.

As you get older, your body produces more toxins from the breakdown of alchohol (due to a decrease in some enzyme, I can't recall the science here) and hence hangovers in older people can be much more severe.

Some people have this lack of enzyme and start to get hangovers very quickly (like, even when still drinking) and usually means they don't drink at all.

Henry miller n others, when u guys say exercise, do u mean weight lifting and musclebuilding too ? Maybe as a Taoist I've been too relaxed and used to it. 2 yrs ago whenI first started muscle building exercise, I gained muscles but noticed I cum within 10 mins of sex. Before that I could last  minimum 30 mins or longer. But especially within a few days of weight training , I find I tend to come quickly n feel rather tense n hyperactive.

I'm definitely not as fit as I was in my early 20s. I used to be able to go on benders all night, every night for weeks, all I needed was a few hours of sleep and off to the bars again. Now I get sooooo sleepy after midnight I always fall asleep in front of the tv.

Sex is about the same though, cum is a little slower but not significantly.

I dont do weights aside from the occasional use of light 3Kg hand weights.

My main program is
15mins hard on the Xtrainer followed by  30mins stretching and the like. I do this two to four days a week, in addition I occasionally walk up to 40km a week. I also swim in the ocean in summer and occasionally in winter (heated indoor pool). Swimmings is the best unfortunately been a very poor summer here basically a wet season with a week of 42 C' in the middle.


This is mixed with random moments of quasi tai chi throughout they day, occasionally some martial arts based calisthenics or  kung tai jazz chi fu dancacise thing I have developed to suit me over the last 25yrs (I'd never show it to any one, as I look like a right tosser doing it. Think Jet Lee meets Saturday night fever).

If you are in to the Taoist thing then you should be able to feel what works for you, doing so would be a good exercise, you need to have you Chakra's open for  Tranta. All Chakra's open translates to a perfectly aligned back, sex in itself its good at doing this and so is dancing (feeling the music) both are moving the Kundalini (I think that's it) in tune .  Some nutty chick explained it to me a long time back, the kundalini is the pivot.

Speaking of which this is why girls like front wheel cars, in bed they led with their clit, while men preffer rear wheel drive as in bed they drive with their arse.
