Not that I'm about to give up my day job but I was tossing around in my mind the question of how much money an average agent in Hong Kong pulls in.
As a conversation starting point, I came up with the following range:
Customers
per girl per day | Session
Charge | Agent
Cut
| Total HK$ per girl per day
| # Girls
| Total HK$/Day
| Total HK$/Mth
(26 days)
|
12 | $800 | $500 | $6,000 | 8 | $48,000 | $1,248,000 |
10 | $800 | $500 | $5,000 | 8 | $40,000 | $1,040,000 |
8 | $800 | $500 | $4,000 | 8 | $32,000 | $832,000 |
6 | $800 | $500 | $3,000 | 8 | $24,000 | $624,000 |
1st column is the number of customers a HG serves in a typical day
2nd column is a typical HG charge in HK$
3rd column is an estimate on the agent's cut. I suppose this could easily be +/- $100 either way
4th column lists the total HK$ pulled in per girl per day
5th column assumes the agent has 8 girls working for him. Could be more, could be less
6th column shows the total HK$ pulled in by the agent per day for those 8 girls
7th column shows the total HK$ pulled in by the agent per month for those 8 girls(assuming 26 days work). I was going to use 30 days but I figure the girls do take the occasional day off
I'm guessing the major monthly expense for the agent would be hotel fees. I'm not sure what the going rate for the hotels in TST that are used but let's assume it's around HK$800 per room per day
Assuming the agent books 5 hotel rooms(shared amongst the 8 girls) that would equal HK$4,000 per day or HK$120,000 per month
Taking any of the above figures would seem to indicate that the agents are pulling in obscene amounts of money from this business.
Of course there are other monthly expenses like housing for the agent, mobile phone bills, food for himself and the girls, visas, transportation etc. I'm not sure how much all of that would add up to but it still seems that this in an incredibly lucrative business. Would be interested to hear others take on the above or if you think any of the figures are way out of the ballpark. Taking even a middle range figure of 8 customers per day, an agent would be knocking on the door of $1mil US per year. Could that be correct?
Maybe I SHOULD give up my day job!
