I watched this on CNN this morning as well, I think it's very bad form and whilst this is only a cartoon I thought this forum had certain etiquette towards the way women are treated?

Any game where you can only win by raping someone, quite often a teenager seems to me wrong on many fronts.

Blaming video game is a cop out.  You never hear any report of a kid punching a hooker and dragging a guy out of his car to steal it

I dunno people are quick to blame things when in reality it is their own bad parenting that is often the cause of miscreant behaviour.

For example that girl who went off with a US marine, her parents blamed the internet, yet her parents were stupid enough to let her use it unsupervised. It is one of those quick and easy to blame things so they do it. Because proper parenting is much more difficult.

It is like balancing the budge deficit of the UK or US, raising taxes or austerity is hard, so they let rip with inflation as it is the path of least resistance.

i totally agree.  people are quick to rage about a game but at the same time, they dont monitor little johnny when hes by himself shoving carrots up the family dogs ass.  deviant behavior is usually due to a lack of parental guidance or childhood trauma that derails the kids normal sexual development.  in fact, when they interview sociopath serial killers they almost always talk about being abused when they were young.  

when columbine happened, the media was so focused on the fact that those 2 boys were big FPS gamers.  meanwhile, they took attention away from the fact that 1) the guns were sold to them as minors (failure of the most basic gun control laws) 2) they were outcasts in their school and 3) one of the boys were on medication for depression, which meant he was probably breaking apart at the seams.  the games didnt motivate or inspire these kids to shoot everyone.  the world around them was their greatest accomplice.

well no, Rockstar got into a lot of trouble with the GTA series. also, for some reason, I just feel that a rape game is much more messed up, but I'm not sure why I'd consider it worse than violence and murder. maybe cos it's a combo of violence and sexual violation. but that's just me.

Played it for a few days....


In the end, after the "story-line", the game ends up being just a 3D sex simulator....

First you choose the location and the girl(s).  Then you just keep choosing the positions and speed of the sex....

It's exactly like "Virtual Sex with (insert pornstar name)", except it's mediocre 3D computer graphics.


For Japanese entertainment products, I find Japanese scat/pissing porn much more disturbing.....

This maybe conclude that there should be a life sentence in prison or a death sentence for rape too.

Anytime people find out that others have a different way to satisfy their libido or their sexual imagination they need to find something to oppose it. It could be either, at best, by qualifying these different sexual behaviours as perversions or, at worst, by punishing these conducts by law or by force.

IMHO, the only etiquette sex-wise should be to refrain from doing any harm to others during a sexual activity. With the exception of BDSM, given the protagonists are willing to suffer pain to some extent. In that case, IMHO, it's not worse than any boxing or MMA fight where the fighters can get knocked-out or end up with broken ribs, cut face etc... As long as their is some kind of monitoring to stop those activities before the life of any participant is endanger I think it should be acceptable.

Both killing and raping are condemnable deeds. But those are games and not real life. But There's a double standard because sex is involved in one of the two games.
