2-2. These two teams are not having the best of seasons at the moment...Manchester Utd
are finding it hard to cope without Cristiano Ronaldo and had trouble getting past Sunderland
and Bolton recently, opponents they would have easily put away last season.

Liverpool made the fatal error of letting Alonso go and well, when you get 'beach-balled' by
Sunderland, you know this isn't going to be your season.

Having said that, both sides have produced explosive encounters in this fixture over the years. 2-2 sounds
about right.

No I'm no Liverpool fan just a fan of good entertaining football. Seems Liverpool will be without Stevie G and Torres for the Sunday game and given the luck they've been having lately, I'm not suprised they would lose again.

Hi Dutch.. You are right ..they have not had the best of seasons lately.. We'll have to see how Man Utd flair against Moscow tonight.  And also Real Madrid thinks the sun shines out of Cristiano Ronaldo's arse...

though I'm not a Liverpool fan, I would guess it's going to be a Liverpool victory. My prediction would be either a 1-0 or 2-0 scoreline. By the way, when have Liverpool moved to Anitree (or Aintree? weren't the horses there?)

Well I am a Liverpool fan and the next four games will be tough especially with the way they are playing at the moment.

At home vs. Man Utd
Away vs. Arsenal
Away vs. Fulham
Away vs. Lyon

And they played pretty badly in the second half last night... I should have slept instead!

I think it would either be a Liverpool win by one goal, or Man Utd win by alot...

I say 1-0 United, our defense if finally starting to gel again and VDS is back from injury. We always find some way to convert chances, but with liverpool's recent form I can't see them mounting much of a fight.

Liverpool wins 1-0 as Michael Owen, thinking that he still plays for Liverpool, puts in an own-goal.

both teams lack creativity! united are always jammy with them own goals they have been given!

most of uniteds goals are always scrambled in!

liverpool, i have never rated, though they did inpress me with their run-in last season!

the game will be boring! very physical with no flow l! goals will only be scored from set pieces!
liverpool should still win!

even if united score 1st!

no more than 2-1 though!

Manchester United Fans To Be Searched For Beach Balls At Liverpool - Report
Normal search policy adopted despite beach balls selling out at club shop...
Oct 20, 2009 11:18:30 AM

Manchester United fans travelling to Anfield to watch their team play Liverpool at the weekend will be searched as normal as stewards
look for beach balls.

Red Liverpool beach balls have sold out from the Anfield club shop, with staff suspecting United fans are snapping them up as they plan a 'tribute' to the goal Darren Bent scored for Sunderland against the Reds at the weekend.

Bent's effort deflected off a red beach ball and past Pepe Reina into the net for the game's only goal at the Stadium of Light.

The beach ball had been thrown onto the pitch by a Liverpool fan. Although the goal should not have stood, Liverpool manager Rafa
Benitez has been philosophical about what happened claiming that his club do not want to change things.

"It will be the normal search policy," a Liverpool spokesperson told The Sporting Life.

Any beach balls found on supporters will be confiscated.

Either way this week has started out good. Man United won in Moscow and madrid lost; all that money wasted and they'll probably fire their coach tomorrow. A win over pool would be a nice cherry on top.

Wayne Rooney and Fernando Torres are easily 2 of the best finishers in the game. Yet, both Manchester United and
Liverpool are struggling to score this season. Again, it is likely due to the absence of any midfield creativity that supplied
these guys with the setups.

This season represents the best chance that teams like Tottenham, Aston Villa and Manchester City have in breaking
the top 4 monopoly. If Manchester United continue with 1-0, 2-1 narrow victories over much weaker opposition,
they are bound to slip up more than once along the course of the league campaign. You are going to get teams
like Burnley hitting them 1-0 and just holding on to secure the 3 points. Just like Sunderland did against Liverpool.

Ordinarily, Man U or Liverpool trailing 1-0 to teams like Burnley and Sunderland would have seen final scores of
3-1 or even 4-1 in favour of the big boys.

Winds of change or temporary setbacks?

I'm just glad that fox soccer channel (US) is showing the game and I don't have to get up early to look for a stream. Hopefully I won't be too hung over from Saturday night.
