I've tried Laphroaig 10 and Laphroaig 25, and the difference is huge (and, well, the huge difference includes the price, lol) Laphroaig 10 is like an energetic youngster who is eager to show off all his powers - its peaty smell and taste is really strong Laphroaig 25, on the other hand, is like a powerful but matured adult who has learned the beauty and humbleness of keeping his strong powers under subtle control

Also I never ever put ice into my single malts. Maybe from the more expensive onces Chivas Regal could be a choice to mix. It's so over priced for the quality. Coke, Johny Walker red label and plenty of ice is ok when thirsty!

Tastes a little bit sweeter imo than most scotch, can't really go wrong with that.  Not sure why you would want to mix expensive scotch though, a mid grade scotch would do the job for any mix.
