If you partake in this hobby, there is always a chance of contracting some STD. Chlamydia and gonorrhea are fairly rampant, especially in sex workers who service 10-20 punters per day.
The chances of contracting an STD is lessened if you cover up for FS, and even better if you are OK with CFS. Important factors to consider when evaluating your risk:
1) Is the WG someone smart / cautious / pays attention to her own health and well-being? You can tell from whether she smells fresh, takes showers herself, uses mouthwash routinely, etc. Look around the room, is it well-kept or is it just a freakin mess? Is the trash bin full of unused condoms? Are there new/fresh towels available for you to use?
2) Older WG tend to be more health conscious. They have either learned the hard way, or they gain some knowledge through experience. I find very inexperienced, new and younger WG to be a bit more clueless when it comes to overall health and well-being.
3) Do they offer BBFS? This is a big red flag.
4) Here is where SA "amateurs" may offer a bit of an advantage, and you hope they are not cycling through as many partners as working gals. But not necessarily, LOL. SA girls often go bare with their SO, BF or husbands, and that adds another layer of risk.
5) smell test - does the pussy have a certain odor? Check for any vaginal discharge. Gonorrhea can have a green mucus discharge. BV has a fishy smell. Candida has a cheezy stench. But many others are silent.
6) ask the girl if they are on any contraception. I tend to view any form of oral contraception / IUD / patch / anything as a soft red flag. One of the reasons to be on contraception is to have BBFS, with someone...
7) ask the girl how often they masturbate. This is mostly for SA girls. If they masturbate a lot, it's likely because they are sexual and likely because they may not have a full-time sex partner. Or the guy is not pleasuring her fully, LOL
This is a good sign. If they masturbate rarely or never, it's because they are fucking guys everyday, or they hate sex, LOL! Bad sign.
If you have an SO and you have BB sex, you are definitely at risk of transferring some STD which is difficult to explain. WATCH OUT. Lots of marriages and relationships break up starting with this revelation.
