Jeremy Lin-sanity Experience

It seems the undrafted Harvard Asian American graduate is more than a 1 game wonder.  He has had his best game against Kobe by dropping 38 points against him.  He may be the most popular guy since Yao Ming in the NBA.  Not bad for a guy that was cut not once but twice in the beginning of the year.

You can't help but cheer for a guy who is able to step up when given the chance! The Knicks-Lakers game was awesome! Even today's 20-point performance is great especially under the pressure for that last free throw.

4-0 with Lin in the starting lineup. Enuf said.

Kinda worried the run is coming to an end. 1 for 13 in the second half yesterday is pretty scary. Plus the black hole Carmelo is coming back soon. Not sure if they're styles will mesh. Rooting for the guy to succeed though, good humble dude.

Huge news here in Toronto, but we have the Raptors and a very large Chinese population.

More TV broadcasting of NYK in HK since he dropped the 38 pts against Lakers. No doubt that he will on the starting lineup later on despite Melo and Amare are back with team. The question is can he still making as many shots as now after this 2 big men is back as they took half of the shots of the team.

There was a racial slur by a black journalist. You have to read between the lines to understand it.  Good thing He later apologized.

Jason Whitlock knows this. He's also an unfunny boor with a massive ego, and the combination of those factors plus his NBA irrelevancy leads to Twitter comments like this, in the wake of Jeremy Lin's brilliant 38-point performance against the Lakers on Friday night:

Some lucky lady in NYC is gonna feel a couple inches of pain tonight.

he's origiinally from out here in Northern California, and was the State HS Player of the Year as a senior in HS.  But the idiot scouts for the Pac-10 decided that a Chinese dude was probably not good, so they passed on him.  Same thing happened in the NBA as well - he was about to be cut by the NY Knicks but they gave him one last "chance" to prove himself, and prove he did.

Whitlock is an ex-jock who has been a beneficiary of affirmative action.  He's always been an uninformed stone idiot in my book. There's no other explanation how he gets employed as a sportswriter. He got rightly fired from ESPN for calling I think it was Stephen A. Smith "Mr. Bojangles", and I didn't even know he left AOL to go write for Fox.

I'm surprised he still has a job today. I thought Fox would can him on Monday. If he were white, he'd never work for the national media ever again. Now, Kelly Dwyer is just as annoying, but he made some good points in the article.

Floyd Mayweather is now saying all the attention Lin is getting is all about race.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/ ... light-race-not-play

I dont think he's entirely wrong but think the attention goes beyond Lin being Asian. I really think the story is more about an underdog coming out of nowhere than race. I mean people of all races can relate to the idea of being counted out and beating the odds. Anyway, mayweather is known for being pretty ignorant anyway based on what he's said about manny pacquiao.

Now, there are so many new vocabulary introduced after him.....LIN Sanity, LIN Tendo, LIN Sane, and the lastest one was Va LIN Tine's day.

I thought he is just another new rookie coming off with a high note and lucky stretch.

But looking at his records for the past 5 games, averaging 27 points, 7 assists, he is really something!!

He even beat Shaq for the highest points in the first 5 matches of a NBA player's carreer.

I am going to watch the next match....see if he is the real deal like everybody has said...

LIN is international now......prolly new word "LIN ternational" ??

Jeremy did it again with a last second shot Linning shot over the Raptors.  Not bad considering the Knicks were down by double digits.

My favorite J Lin Youtube video is when he was a 6 year old.  Showed some semi-serious skills and creativity at that age.

Tony speaking of MJ, he used that as motivation to exceed in many things but did NOT start realizing his potential until he hit the game winning shot against Georgetown in the '82 NCAA Finals game.  The question is when was J-Lin's key pivotal moment?

On monday JLin was worth 14 million. After that buzzer beater, tack on another 2 million

http://www.forbes.com/sites/mike ... d-worth-14-million/

He really does need to tone down on the turnovers tho, but I guess it's no big deal if they keep winning.

the one who posted up said that isn't jlin, its his son.

I was never a yao fan.  Yes he is asian and really tall which made it a curiousity at the time.   To me he was like a Rik Smits of Indiana

J Lin whether is is asian or not, he is a real inspiration to all.  He got the smarts & determination that won't quit.  Definately there is a connection to you really want to cheer for.
