Occasional mongerer here, on the off chance I can manage a trip to Asia.  I'm curious as to the demographic of those who taste the sweet delights of the Orient.  As a corporate lawyer from New York, my professional peer group is conservative by nature, and anyone who works in my industry appreciates (or perhaps over-appreciates) the risks of not being cautious about with whom they share their mongering history.  Not surprisingly, none of professional peers (including friends) know about my hobby.  

So what do you do for a living and what's your annual income? Me... corporate attorney, on the better side of $200k (USD) all in annually.

I am a banker specialising in IPO and M&A, relocated to HK, I get $200k (USD) for my bonus, not including my annual salary, housing allowance etc. (then i woke up and realised it was all a dream).

LOL.  Sounds like a dream.  That means you'd be VP level, and you'd have balls to be posting on here from a company computer during the workday.

No doubt it is risky to disclose such info. But you can release suggestions without much harm.  Watch me, I run my own technical business making just above the average salary. I only run it part-time as I am busy with other things that should generate revenue in the future, so its going pretty good.

It's impolite to ask someone how much they make IRL and sure this is the internet, but that rule doesn't exactly change.  Being the internet it's an open invitation to be lied to.  I mean really?  This isn't the 1st time someone comes to message board saying they are XYZ and sadly it won't be the last.  Usually in said cases it's a person who is too young to know the ways of the world let alone the mongering world and doesn't have the gumption to know better.  Also this kind of question often turns into an epeen contest.  So, forgive me if I offend you for saying any of this.

Mongering attracts all sorts of people and one generalization I can deduce is it's a dominantly male populated hobby.  I think what attracts the majority to SEX boards is obviously the sex and the ability to remain relatively anonymous.    The more RL info you share the less anonymity you have.  As you mentioned we often can't share this part of our lifestyle with anyone so here we are.  I've seen a few unlucky individuals get 'outted' because they weren't wary enough.  All this just from information posted on boards.

Don't get me wrong I've met a few upstanding gentlemen through mongering boards and like anything else trust takes time.
