I was last in AC in January and attended the pool party as well as many of the featured events at the different bars.
I stayed at Score Birds Hotel on a Friday and Saturday night and was very disappointed. The price was as high as some of the best hotels in the area and the rooms are not up to par. I could not sleep as the hotel is next to the High Society Night club which plays loud music tell 3 in the AM.
If I could add some info about hotels. There are many that are quite nice and pricey in AC but I have found the best hotel at the best price to be the Central Park Tower. I paid about $75 USD a night. It is centrally located and not more than 100 meters from several very good bars.
