Totally agree with your post and the rule as written.  I have had many other WYP situations where we went out, talked, and had a great time.  But  there was no sex.  I still paid the agreed amount.  In this case I consider that compensated dating.

I think the big uproar about compensated dating in HK is not about civilians getting paid or not because how would that differ from a housewife who occasionally goes out and freelances, which is legal in HK.

I believe the issue was about the young age of the girls. Girls under 18 yo (not yet legally an adult or able to drink in an establishment) were going out on these dates especially to earn money from usually much older men by providing sexual favors. These men would be considered at least borderline pedophiles in most places. If these girls were 18 yo and above then it would be legal.

This forum understandably does not want to get involved with this compensated dating issue because how can they verify the age of these HK civilian girls? They can get in trouble legally here in HK. At least with confirmed wgs posted in db, they would have been interviewed and verified by the admin of this site.

Then we have WYP which seems to rest somewhere in a grey area. USA is very strict about issues regarding pedophilia. Ya know, a couple weeks ago I actually reported this thread to the Mods myself.  Yep, I reported myself!  I did this because of how the thread kinda blew up and delved into grey areas  -- areas I was actively discussing myself, but I wasnt sure how the admin would take it.  

So I figured best to raise a white flag and let them know I certainly intended no harm to 141 - just sharing a new punting resource - and that we would shut down the discussion if they felt we were breaching our rules.  

This forum works because the mods are active and the rules are enforced.  And Bros tend to police themseleves once they understand.  Cool.

Anyway, the mods never responded.  Fine.  I take that as a "it's okay to keep it going, but we'll keep an eye on it....".
