There are literally thousands of options in BKK. Don't like Gogos? Try Soi 24 massage joints. Don't like massage joints, try the BJ bars. Don't like BJ bars? Try Thermae. Don't like Thermae, walk down the street and pick up a freelancer. Don't like street freelancers, go to Levels or any of the other pick up clubs.

I've been to Macau, its a one trick pony in my book and everything there can be found in greater depth and variety in Thailand.

I have just bad some bad experiences in Bangkok with staff being jerks about ordering drinks.

Afterskool was so bad that I told the manager I would never come back there when the bartender behaved liked a bitch.  

One other place on soi cowboy I had the same issue with staff.

Also some girls can be real pushy with drinks as they are basically drinking water.  

I am spending 1500-3000 bhat getting a few drinks to then be insulted.  Takes the fun out of it.  

I will say the strip in patpong is the best gogo bar for relaxed hanging out as they leave you alone and don't force lady drinks upon you.  

I will also say the mixed drinks at the gogo bars are pathetically weak.  The bar tenders mixing ladies drinks have forgotten how to pour a real drink.

Why pay us strip club prices to be hustled like in a crappy us strip club.  Much rather go do other stuff in Bangkok or at least stay away from soi cowboy and go to the strip in patpong.

It's all about what you like and what you want. I don't fly half way around the world to drink. I don't drink, so it doesn't really matter where I am at as far as that goes.

I think that we sometimes forget that we are doing our mongering in a business. I don't have any issues with girls, servers, or mamasans pimping me for drinks. I have the ultimate control, No.

These places and their staff make zero profit on guys that sit around and look at the talent. I know that doesn't apply to many of us, but we all know those bros out there in the world.

It is really funny I guess. My day to day is rather high risk high pressure. Enough so that when I'm on holiday and spending time in my favorite pastime there is seldom much that will push my buttons. I really just go with the flow.

Had different experience at afterskool. Asked to buy drinks but not high pressure.

If I go to a place and the pressure distracts me too much I just leave.

Keep in mind these places need to make some money or they cease to exist. Buy a drink or two. If a couple drinks breaks the bank you might want re-look at and adjust your budget.

Man, times change...the joke was that you didn't have to worry about finding action in BKK, the action found you.

But, it's your generation now, it's your time, technology dictates how hookups are done now. But ifI were 30, it wouldn't change too much for me...i'd still be point and click and thus, want a live ineup. Bars only interest me peripherally.
