However,  transfer window and phases are different. You need to keep track for the transfer availability during the various phases/legs of the competition, i.e. group stage / round of 16/quarter/semi/final. Substitutions are available for all 15 players after each game day during the same gameweek. After game day 1, you are able to replace non-performing outfield players and captain. Manager substitutions Brand new to the 2012/13 game, manager substitutions allow you more flexibility to make alterations within a matchday period. After all matches on a single day have finished and before the next matches start, you can: 1. Replace any player (unless they were sent off) with one from your bench whose team is yet to play. 2. Change your captain (if he was not sent off), with a player from your squad whose team is yet to play. Players who are substituted out will score 0 points, the captain bonus will be lost from your original captain if a new captain is selected. Substitutions and captain changes can't be cancelled once confirmed. An unlimited number of manager substitutions can be made, however, it is not possible to make manager substitutions after games on the last day of the matchday, as all fixtures will have been completed. If a manager substitution or captain change is made then no automatic substitutions will take place on your team that matchday. 2. Transfer WildCard You can play 1 transfer wildcard a season at any stage. 3. Transfer Deadline Please follow the transfer deadline closely. I tried and tried... also deleting the dash like you did, and then adding it back again and then a few times later, it just worked (I remember the dash was there when it worked!) I think at the very least, you could set up your team first, and join later... I don't think it will affect the rankings if you join the league later as long as you're already playing from the start... Right Hunter??

My freind log in at 1 am last nite and due to system gliche, he was not able to complete his full team. The system prevent him to update his squad even before the closing deadline. Wait a bit.....
