Wow, that's the first time my name was mentioned. I didn't think that i was that important. Thanks Thai-delight for mentioning me, i've only been on this board for a short while, so the fact that people even recognize me is an honor my sir.

As I have only been on this board for a short while, I am unfamiliar with the politics or the issues at hand. I've tried to do my homework and started to look at posts from 1 year back and even longer and it just seems very complicated. I get a bit lost along the way being a newbie.

I do enjoy this idle chat thread a lot! I think it's an outlet for new guys like me and other folks to really carry on interesting discussions. I could certainly post up a thread on mongers lounge now, but then I would have to write up a long description explaining the background of the situation in order for people to understand and chime in. But it just seems like so many people visited the idle chat thread so much that I just posted what i felt on there and people just chimed in and started discussing things right away.

Personally for me, these past couple of months, i focus on Mainland China first as that's my favorite mongering place, and then I go to Mongers lounge, directly to idle chat as more people participated in that thread. I don't exactly go to idle chat to get karma points, you only get one point for every post. I personally go there to see if I can answer people's questions if they have any, or input my opinions if it could be useful in helping others on the board.

But there is no denying that Idle Chat has been the most popular thread to date, with so many posts over the 1+ years it's been up. I've only been here for 2-3 months or so. But before I came, i'm sure many other brothers can attest to it's popularity.

Although SEAN/SEAJ may be an integral part to the idle chat threads success, I can assure you that from reading the past 80 pages or so (it's too long to read all of it) it's not just SEAN posting everything, it's a collective effort of senior members and newbies etc. The premise of this thread isn't just SEAN's personal blog, it comes from the collective opinions and thoughts of so many brothers on this board. SEAN/SEAJ does contribute a lot of his own personal opinions, but honestly, the idle chat has grown to be even bigger than he himself. Sorry SEAN, i had to say that, hope it does not offend you young boy, you may be important, but NOT that important! (j/k)  

The one big advantage of Idle Chat is that people can directly post what's on their mind right away, instead of writing up a whole thread like how it is on mongers lounge where people have one line questions and sometimes many people don't help out these newbies. BUt if a newbie does ask a question on idle chat, people visit this thread so much that the chances of their questions being answered is quite quick and effortless. So it's sort of a thread that simplifies starting a new thread each time on mongers lounge. If there ever was a way, it would be great to keep it on mongers lounge and to disable giving out karma points. Regardless, I am happy to see that idle chat is here to stay. I've had some very interesting conversations on idle chat, not just with SEAN/SEAJ but with other brothers on this board.

I think that it's served a good purpose for those who like spontaneous chat, and I posted occasionally in the past, e.g. when I was mod.  The thread was seaj's baby and he has watched it grow to what it is today. The thread's a useful resource for bros, particularly with contribution from members like you.

I've posted to this thread a few times. In fact, it was my limerick that seemed to be the final straw that moved it over here... I haven't posted much since then because the drama has gone to epic proportions again.

I like this forum, and spend a surprising amount of time on it for a guy who is not from HK. Ive always thought this thread was a nice place to just shoot the shit. I don't fuck WGs every day, so some days I want to come contribute, but I don't have any reports to share. Honestly, I don't know how some of you guys afford to punt as much as you do... I don't have that kind of cash!

Anyway, I don't really care about the Ks. Once I hit RA 30 I no longer cared. Maybe this is a good compromise. If people want to post, they can post all they want here. If people want Ks, they need to go make a few reports. I can see the logic. Maybe it's a good solution. For those of us who manger overseas, making Ks in the RotW sectio is abit longer road, but it's not that big a deal. I got my RA 30 after only a few months and a couple trips to HK. This is probably true for a lot of people. It is a little sad that we can't award Ks for just contributing meaningfully to a conversation, though. Such rewards encourage more thoughtful, interesting replies and lead to more interesting conversation. But again, I see the point.

So, maybe it's all good.

Just, please stop talking about who can post what and who can award wihat to who, and who has it in for  who on the site. The forum drama is pretty boring.  We here to talk about the life and times of guys who screw prostitutes. There must NBC better ways to spend our time than discussing forum drama.

You know..it's funny because the premise of this board is really to share and help other brothers out so that they too can reciprocate that kindness and post their experiences and people can all gain from each other's knowledge. Afterall a collective effort always yields better long term results right? This in essence is really the definition of Karma. You help others and in turn others will help you based on your good deeds.

You certainly do not increase your RA by just posting random comments on the board, it's more about sharing your experiences in detail, helping others to experience your good sessions as well. Other Mods appreciate business cards as it helps people book sauna rooms, KTV rooms BBS mommies etc as this is helpful information. That's the burger patty in the burger. But In the short time i've been on this board, i've noticed that what's fun about it is being able to converse with other brothers about all types of experiences and opinions. That's really what brings me back to Idle Chat as everyone views the page and everyone has something to say. Through what other brothers say, you get a more unique picture of what kind of person they are even without meeting them in person. You got the sarcastic people who always chime in with their wise-ass remarks which are amusing. You have the intellects who come in to correct certain facts that were mis-stated. You got the instigators, the wild guys, the gentlemen who have their own convictions. You name it I've read it..all here on this board. It's the different personalities that keep me coming back.

Because Idle Chat is so active I end up reading most of the interesting topics and off the wall responses on this thread. If you go to Mongers lounge now, you see newbies posting up new threads with one line questions. like "where can i get a girl to wear a costume?" Then people skip over it and for some reason nobody wants to help him or answer his question--well except forme. But it's strange how he posts this thread and nobody answers, but if he had posted it in idle chat, for some odd reason there's bound to be someone who would come up with a response. I don't know why, but that's just what I've noticed personally. It could just be an isolated incident, but i do see that people on idle chat are more willing to help each other out though--which I do find to be the core values of this thread, helping and sharing and caring.

But at the end of the day contributing to this board is about sharing your experiences and helping other people. taking the plunge in doing recon work and exploring new territories others have not gone to. Dare to be different, pushing the envelope in finding new girls, new techniques to get girls, warning other bros of the potential failures and successes in certain pick up lines etc. adding value is what increases RA. But we never increase RA without brothers on the board to support us right? So once again it's all a collective effort. It helps in helping other brothers, they will appreciate it and return the favor (karma)
