Been to Singapore a bunch of times and the providers at Geylang are great and reliable. But as far as I can tell, all of them are "imports" from Vietnam, Thailand or China. Looking over the threads on this board and doing a search, it sounds like apart from these 3 countries, there are also providers from Indonesia and the Philippines in the mix.

All that said, anyone know how to find "native" providers? Local Singaporean (Chinese, Malay or Indians)?

All part of the quest to "dine locally" so hopefully not a futile effort. I guess I could try a random hotel bar pickup but from the forum research, I have a higher chance of finding a Filipino or European Caucasian that way!

Appreciate any tips and pointers. Will share what I find out in return.

Geylang as the legalized turf has not locals that are licensed. If the rules on the board allow, I can share the link where you can find fuck with a local flavor. Else please PM me.

There are no local providers in a legal sense in Singapore. The country has strict government regulations around punting and all the the legal red light districts import foreign providers.

Inclined to disagree. As far as I know, prostitution is legal in Singapore. It is solicitation, pimping and operating a brothel that is illegal. The designated red light districts are heavily regulated (true) and in the past (as I am told), there used to be many local providers. They were apparently elbowed out by a plentiful supply of cheaper talent from Vietnam, China and Thailand.

There is nothing stopping a local lady from practicing the trade. Just got to find them!

And so reporting back as I promised to share what I learnt ... glad to say that I was able to find a local native Malay lady in Singapore to spend an hour with. Very different from the Geyland experience. Sure, it costs more (SGD $150 vs $50 or $60) but it was a much more engaging one. Now on to finding native Singapore Chinese and Indian providers on my next trip. Fun side project this is turning out to be.

@actavis AFAIK, there are no malay girls working in Geylang. There are some online forums that seem to imply that it is because Malay / Muslim girls are prohibited from working in the licensed brothels in the area. Not sure if this is true or verifiable.

I was able to find Malay providers on the Sammyboy Forum under their local section.

@Susanlixxx yup, not kidding. I am not 100% sure the rationale behind the decision or how brothel licensing works in Singapore. Suspect it has to do with some local cultural / ethnic sensitivity given the world we live in today. I found multiple references to this information and the most authoritative one is from Project X which is a local non-profit that serves workers in the sex industry in Singapore (https://theprojectx.org/faq/) I did a pretty extensive search and while most of Singapore is online (including rules and regulations, etc from state-related sources), I could not find anything "official" from the state on how brothels and Geyland work!

Singapore is really a land of contradictions if you ask me ... one the one hand squeaky clean image ... on the other designated zones like Geylang where brothels line the streets with clearly marked numbers and signs! That said, not for me to ask questions, just enjoy while staying within the OB markers!

If you wanna try sg locals (chinese, malaysian, indian) though they are mostly freelancers, be prepared to pay for quite a premium though which for me a bit not worth it!

You can find them in sammyboyforum and look for FL DOME L and you’ll see quite a pool of providers there. There are also a few in TG.

Yup, thanks. I did find those on Sammyboy. And yes, you are correct about bring pricey. Local women in Singapore do seem to command a premium to the Thai / Viet / Chinese imports. I noticed that there seems to be a pricing hierarchy that run approximately (from low to high) Thais - Viets - Indonesians - Locals (Chinese/Indians/Malays) - Japanese - Latinas - Caucasians!

Local SG girls are mostly just Hokkien girls (Fujian). You could just get PRC freelancers if you want the look from that ethnicity. Unless you really want the girl to say "fuck me lah I'm so horny lah" in their accent...

Viet girls are the best in SG (and honestly in the entirety of Asia). Look up VPremium.

To each his own but for me, it is less the look (or the accent!), but more a philosophical quest to "dine local". When in Thailand, I like my tom yum soup and in Singapore, I like my laksa.

Sort of like the "all american girl" option back here in the US of A! Doesn't matter if they are of white/yellow/brown ethnicity, but I seem to recall someone made the distinction of being born/grew up in country and have the whole mindset and mentality.

Singapore continues to be a conundrum for me. I think I can pick up a difference between foreign-born chinese and local born chinese folks in my professional life there. Suspect that there are some sensitivities there so have kept my mouth shut about asking. Apart from Chinese, the Malays and Indians intrigue me. And by golly there are some really attractive women of those ethnicities!
