Cialis/ Viagra with high Blood Pressure?

Hi All,

As per topic. Anyone with experience or recommendations about taking Cialis or Viagra with high Blood Pressure?

I had taken both few years ago pre COVID but have not been punting since pre lockdown. Ive recently been diagnosed with borderline high blood pressure 14x/9x (but not yet started on BP medicine),  was wondering if it was safe to take Cialis/Viagra with my current condition?

SO was with me at the cardiologist so couldnt ask him at the time haha.

Appreciate any feedback, cheers!

In theory. V/C is supposed to work like nitric oxide. Which is actually supposed to help lower blood pressure. Where you might need to be careful is if you are on blood pressure meds and also take V/C. That might end up lowering your blood pressure too much. Make sure to do some research on it or talk with a doctor. But that’s the theory behind how it works.

I get high blood pressure when I see people
ask for medical advise in this forum

even if there are medical doctors here, they should not be answering these questions as every single person's situation is different ... AND forum rules explicitly don't allow medical related discussions !

history...

Just a bit of history here, with no medical advice.

Sildeafil citrate was originally developed as a treatment for high blood pressure and angina.
It turned out later to be much more profitable as treatment for ED, branded as Viagra.

The drug is still sold and prescribed (under the name Revatio) for pulmonary hypertension.

I am no expert, but i will share my experience as i have high blood pressure and take medication.

I have taken generic cialis. I have not felt any side effects, though it's not like i am taking cialis every day. It only has been when performing, which is here and there. Not daily.
