"I'm sure you're the type that thinks showering after sex is going to protect you against STDs....good going there."

Where does that deduction come from?? Cheap rhetorical touch; first you ascribe a bogus characteristic, and then add a triumphant, 'good going there.'

"You wanna kiss the same girl who's just been licking my asshole right before you walked in?"

Hey, that's unsafe sex, my friend! Your asshole, which I'm sure is cleaner than most, is just another of those traitorous mucus membranes. No telling what bacterial horror will sneak in through the back door! Might I suggest Dr English's patented Anal Condom.

"Oh and also, there's a big difference between infectious diseases and 'germs on a doorknob".

Really?! How do you think people catch colds and the flu. Not usually through kissing, but by touching something just touched by the infected and then rubbing their own eyes/nose. There is no end of diseases that one can catch by touch.

But look, I too agree that not taking precautions with 'whores' is foolish. But there's a limit to everything. If I were to obsess about the possible drop of fresh AIDS-infected semen just left behind by the guy before me that might find it's way into a cut on my leg, I be too terrified to enter the room at all.

You have a nice day.

The flu is a virus. Most commonly transmitted through water droplets in the air. Not a germ. And you can't catch it by touching a doorknob. As a matter of fact, there are very few diseases you can catch simply by touching something with your fingers in an urban setting.

Quote: "But look, I too agree that not taking precautions with 'whores' is foolish. But there's a limit to everything. If I were to obsess about the possible drop of fresh AIDS-infected semen just left behind by the guy before me that might find it's way into a cut on my leg, I be too terrified to enter the room at all."

See this is what I'm talking about. HIV survives poorly outside the body, and you should know this. Educate yourself so you can protect yourself. http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/qa/qa35.htm

My earlier posts before your reply may have sounded paranoid. I understand. But I was merely correcting for my posts before when I seemed too carefree. I didn't want people to come on here thinking we fuck and get sucked with no protection all the time.

If you're on this forum and in the 141 buildings, you're already practicing unsafe sex. But it is always a good idea to help other brothers become as safe as possible. The less people are diseased, the less chance you'll get diseased.

You have a nice day.

Olive branch. Yes, I agree that there is a great deal of truth in what you say. If there wasn't the very-real danger of getting herpes/etc. through kissing, I would have just shrugged off your post. It's just the issue is serious enough that one has to take a position, and I've decided not to get too upset about it. It's just that my reasonable precautions don't extend to avoiding kissing, and the idea that I maybe should avoid even that pisses me off.

I've read your posts and I know you're not a prude; and obviously a paranoid hypochondriac would not be a dedicated monger.

However, just to show I am not scientifically naive, the  AIDS virus will survive as long as the liquid it is contained in does not dry out. That's why I said ; 'a FRESH drop of AIDS-infected semen.' The chances are extremely low but not non-existent.

And I was using the term 'germ' in it's broadest colloquial sense as all disease causing organisms.

As far as not being able to catch the flu by touch, there you are absolutely mistaken. (And by touch, I, of course,  don't mean absorbed through the skin! Once you have acquired the 'germ' by touch, it is easily internalized through eyes/nose/mouth/dick, etc.) Quote from Google: "The Flu virus can also survive up to 48 hours on nonporous surfaces like a telephone, computer keyboard, doorknob, kitchen countertop or toys."

It has been found that the most common transmission vector of flu/colds is touch. I have the flu, I open a door after rubbing my nose. 5-20 mins later, you then open the same door and later rub your eye/nose. Voila you're infected without realizing it.  That's why everyone gets the flu; you can avoid the sneezer and we don't kiss the sick, but few bother about doors,etc.. The best advice for flu season is never touch your eyes/nose and frequently wash your hands.

And what about all this controversy about people catching diseases in hospitals? Doctors are constantly told to wash their hands so as not to pass on antibiotic-resistant E-Coli to other patients. My mother caught a bad skin infection in hospital, and it didn't happen by kissing a doctor. Touch is an important vector for many diseases; SARS amoung them.

I will try to have a nice day, it's not always easy.

allow me to chip in on HIV

accordingly to my understanding, someone who is infected may not even be aware since it can stay dormant for a number of years before any symptoms appear;

correct me if I am wrong BUT do it gently

Depending on the health of the person's immune system, the HIV infected can remain symptom free for 10+ years, and still be infectious to others. Often, when first infected, a person can have a flu-like disease, but not always.

C'mon bro, I don't think Marsupial was flaming you, just giving an alternative perspective in a jokey way. And, with nearly
30 years of whoring, he's got the experience to back it up. I've got almost as much and I agree with him completely. People
worry far too much about germs and stuff. I'll take a BBBJ every chance I get and I'll deep kiss any girl who'll agree. And those
are the gals who get the biggest tips.

Edit - Whoops, I thought #20 on the previous page was the last message. Then I see 9 others on this page. And everybody's
online at the same time

Yes. Blood tests can tell. Some new tests can tell in very early stages of infection these days. There's supposed to be a home test kit out that's real accurate too, but I don't know if its available yet.

I just got my annual full blood work done last Monday. I'm supposed to go back for my report tomorrow, but they said they'd call if there was anything to tell. So I'll take them not calling as a sign of me being clean...Hopefully.

Oh and Marsupial, think we got off on the wrong foot. I'll take that olive branch and wish you happy hunting in return.

There is a time gap between infection and when the virus is detectable in the blood. The most common tests detect the body's antibodies to the virus, and there is a window of about  4-6 weeks before the body produces sufficient quantities to be observed. There are newer tests that detect the virus itself (viral load), but these are usually given to confirm the first diagnosis.

Yeh, I've heard about these home test kits, and supposedly they are very accurate, but there is a window with these as well, but don't know what it is. Does anyone know?

Speaking of my nearly 30 years walking the path, I cannot believe that I've been coming to HK for 20+ years and only this trip discovered the 141 scene

I had my tests done 6 mths ago, after 5 or so years of putting it off, and am proud to be able to present myself as a certified safe-sex partner. (There should be a little lapel button for this.)

And Jake is correct, I just think sarcasm is fun. Character assassination for the malicious pleasure of it is a character defect. Age has a way of forcing humility down your throat, like it or not

Sounds good. Need to make it clear that it's reasonably continuous whoring. I took one cheap, old, ugly prostitute in
Manchester when I was at university 37 years ago. The only defence is that I was drunk. I don't include that in my whoring
time-span.

If intermittent whoring does not qualify, those of you who are permanent Asia-residents have an unfair advantage. Whoring in the US of A has two sides: the sleazy street-walker, or the expensive escort girl - and photos deceive everywhere. The Europeans are much more enlightened on this score, but nothing compares to Asia. Here, going out for a bonk is just an accepted guy thing - I'll be back in a couple of hours dear, just going out for a bonk. Try that in the States.

Sulasno, you've taken on the heavy burden of forum peace keeper. But in this case you're being far too sensitive. In my case, you can relax; mine was just a joking reply to Jake's joking post.
