Forum rage

In the Chinese 141 forum there’s always been lots of member bashing even over trivial matters.
I’ve noticed it’s beginning to start here.
Is this ‘forum rage’ prevalent in other forums?

it happens in every forum;

BUT with good and proper moderation, the damage is minimal;

there are 2 sides to a coin; you can't please everyone and don't feel discourage

you are already doing a good job

personally, I do get some "not so nice replies" to my posts; but when I see the number of nice posts against the not nice posts, the percentage is negligible  ..................

let's us all help to make this forum the first site when we start our browser

Different people have different values and opinion. It is only nature for people to have disagreement. As a mature person, it's essential to tolerate and try to understand where other people are coming from. Their opinion may not make sense or may even sound stupid. At the same time, they may view you the same way. If people can't debate in a civilized way, you don't have to drag yourself down to their level. After all, name calling is just that, name calling. Life would be a rather painful journey if every argument is taken with grief and resentment.

Oh, the no-no icon   and the finger icon are the same

No-no is advice, which is good, but it could be mistaken for giving someone the bird, which would be quite antagonistic...

It all boils down to how a disagreement is presented.  If you are upfront, honest and reasoned in how you present your opposing opinion, then you have given the other party no reason to respond in a negative manner.  Treat others with the respect you would like them to give to you, and if worst comes to worst, thats why we have the phrase "lets agree to disagree"
