#1 Post at 4-3-2008 00:34  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L cheaper and faster route I have this map of mtr in hongkong. there are two ways you can get to tst from the airport. First, from the airport, go all the way to hongkong/central station then take the tsuen wan line. Second, from the airport, get off at tsing yi, transfer and take tung chung line, then get at lai king then take tsuen wan line. I would say the timing is not too much different between the two.

I live in TST Gateway and I ALWAYS take the hotel shuttle buses. From Kowloon station, it doesn't matter if you have no luggage - you just have to prove that you have taken the Airport Express, either by showing the Octopus Card or getting a slip of paper from the information desk as you disembark the train and before going through the turnstiles (once you do, you've lost the ticket - the machine keeps it). I only take the taxi after 11 pm as the shuttle buses stops running then.

I just have to remind myself not to forget a slip paper from the information desk. Im going there with no hotel reservation, hopefully the bus driver wont ask me which hotel Im going. and if he does and wont let me in, I just take a taxi.

They go to the various hotels around HK, some of which are in TST. So you have to find a major hotel nearest your desired destination. The Miramar or Holiday Inn are the closest to where you want to go (if it's the address I sent you.) Taking the US $3 taxi from Kowloon Station would probably be easier. #12 Post at 5-3-2008 00:45  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L sounds like the free hotel shuttle buses are for shuttleling people to any hotels around around hk. hotels does not have their own shuttle buses. its like if Im with a bunch of people in the bus and they have different hotels, the bus must make several stops until everyone get off. taking taxi is the next alternate way to get there.

Other members may want to correct me on this. But why hassle with the bus just to save the 25 HK$ taxi fare? And considering that you will probably have to wait for the bus, getting off the Airport Express at Central and transferring to the Tsuen Wan line would probably not take much more time. 孔子曰： 君子不羞于舔屄也

I had hotels in CWB, Northpoint and Wan Chai. All with 200 to 300 meters from a bus stop. When arriving at the airport take a prepaid return ticket for 65$HK. Cityflyer also goes to Kowloon side. Less money spend on the travel, more to spend on 141 girls.

#15 Post at 5-3-2008 08:35  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L I vote for the CityFlyer, A21 takes you from the Airport and pass through all the major hotel along Nathan Road, it even broadcast which hotels are near the upcoming stop, only $33 and take less than an hr. I personally take it every time I visit HK.
