Hi everyone from a newbie.
While still a non-member I came across a recommendation here to try some pharmacies in Wan Chai for the "V".
Here's what I found out.
They charge from between HK$ 1400-2000/ bottle of 30 pills. Between HK$ 350-400/pack of 4.
Here's the catch.......Most of em are fakes less you have a prescription to show, and this is why I say that they are.
Got one bottle at Hk$1800/ at Wan Chai and tried half a tablet. While cut in half, I tasted the white powder for the bitter flavor of Sildenafil Citrate
but found out that it taste like nothing like the Viagras I've been accustomed to using in the past. Frankly I've been using them for over
three years and get them prescribed from a doctor friend while I was still in Singapore. The Viagra I tied here was tasteless.
Anyway for good measures I popped the halved tablets to see how it goes. Usually about 20 to 30 minutes gives me a boner from my
previous tablets but for this HK one, it was no go even for almost 2 hours.
So by then I was very pissed-off and very suspicious. I remembered I still had my previous Viagra blister packet for 4 and tried analysing the
situation by checking the tablet size contra the blister pod dimension. What I found out was that the HK viagra sold to me is a bit smaller
in dimension and was looking loose on the blister pack pod. By now too I felt the bluish color seems a bit lighter.
It was around 2 1/2 hours by now and still no boner.....so assumption turned into conclusion and off I went calling the pharmacy to complain.
The druggist told me that maybe I took the V with alcohol which is not the way to do it and which is why it was not working. So I said, I took
it with plain water and I should damn know how to take this stuff as I had been doing it even with alcohol or Red Bull for so many years with
expected and desirable effects and nothing like this ever. So Mr. drugstore tells me to return them back and try to fix the siuation by giving
me a refund. So off I went back to the pharmacy and so they did return back my money. End of story, no sorry, no explanation as to why,
what or apologetic reactions.......a complete whitewash I'd say. My parting shot was that any adverse reactions from anyone taking their product
may have legal repercussions on them but what the heck, no effing reaction whatsoever.
So off I went to another druggist and this time at Causeway Bay. Tried getting the 4 tablet blister pack that comes in a box at Hk$370/
pack. Box packing exactly like the one I'm familiar with but why no holographic sticker of Pfizer? Why I asked is the sticker just in plain printed ink?
Mr. Druggist salesman tells me the latest batches no longer have the holographic sticker and this is indeed authentic and original.
So I tell myself that hopefully this guy is telling the truth cause my hunting time is almost running out.
Opening the box at home and scrutinizing the blisterpack......I, to my dismay found again some anomalous discrepancies. And I enumerate them as follow:
- Pfizer logo pattern and color on the silver foil on the pack different blue color tone from my previous blisterpacks. Likewise the logo of Pfizer was badly
designed and slightly different even from the box where the pack came from.
- The tablets and how they were packed in the pods were inverted. Orientation of original V tablets placed in the pods are in the direction
of the Pfizer logo printed in the blisterpack silverfoil.
- Broke the tablet in half and tried tasting the white powder. Zilch........again no bitter taste. Any V users would swear how bitter Sildenafil Citrate
powder is. This one was again tasteless.
- Lastly again the blue color of the tablets were too dark.
At this point I'm giving-up hope of attaining original V's from over the counter transactions as lightning has hit me twice.
Better to just get a doctor to prescribe and I guess that would be the best course of action to take.....safer too.
I'm still open for recommendations or advise though buty today was just pure bad luck. And so did the hunting......
By the way, all the expiry dates for both bottled and blisterpack sez 11 20011.
So this topic I posted is just to warn you guys about them fakes widely circulating around HK. Good if the fakes do work cause they can
be had cheap, but bad when you've been had and end-up with an undesirable side effect on your health.
