I been hearing of ID checks in hotels for visitors and police raids on hotels, but how bad are WGs for a hotels business?  At first I thought that hotels may not mind and turn a blind eye to it because it brings them business too but thinking about the ID checks they do (do they ask you which room number you're visiting too?) and police raids, I see this is not necessarily the case.

Do other customers complain about it if they suspect a room is being used by a WG?  Has anyone actually been in a room at the time doing a WG when it has been raided?  I know its not illegal for us punters (correct me if I'm wrong, as long as its 1 on 1 and not a 3 some for example of course), but what about the WG?  Do punters help out by pretending that no money is being exchanged, feign ignorance, maybe pretend that they don't even speak cantonese or mandarin and claim that all along they believe they've pulled?  Or, do the WGs themselves have their own cover story and don't get busted because they're prepared for it?

I'm assuming the hotel rooms will be booked under the WGs names so that you don't get a load of rooms booked by the same person ie. the papasan so the whole we've just met and we decided to fuck story will be more feasible if the room is booked under the WGs name.

What do you guys reckon?  Only been to see a few hotel girls so far and I'm sure the guys who have been regularly for a long time will have some stories to tell.

Whether hotel WGs are good or bad for business.  On the one hand papasans are regularly checking in WGs bringing business to the hotel.  On the other hand people maybe be complaining about seeing different guys regularly go into the same rooms leading to suspicions as to whats going on inside.  This leads to poorer ratings on websites, magazines etc as well as bad publicity but how big a problem this is I don't know.

Other possible points (and I'm only speculating here ) could be that punters like us (especially visiting punters) see what the hotels are like and may decide to stay there later or recommend friends.

Before I get into the legality of hotel girls and visiting them ...

first ask yourself why these girls only works from hotel rooms ...

I don't get it. I just assumed it was for the convenience. I mean, they need a room to do their business and
booking a hotel room is a lot easier and more convenient that renting and maintaining a single room somewhere

Jake, you're one of our senior bros here (time spent on this forum ) and probably one of our
most experienced with local WGs ... I'm surprised you don't know the answer to this !

My understanding is that these hotel WGs seem to be visiting HK for a couple of weeks or so.  Earn some fast cash and then leave again.  It seems win-win really.  The WGs don't need to find and rent a room to serve walkups and because they're not usually locals, they have less of a problem with showing their face which for punters is a bonus so they don't get a nasty surprise (usually with the exception of the more photos shopped photos) when they enter the hotel room.

About the legality, I hear its illegal for them to be working but the who legality of it seems confusing anyways.  I read that this line of work is legal as long as its 1 girl per flat but then again apparently its illegal for them to be earning the majoring of their money from doing this line of work or something so the laws seem to contradict themselves a bit.  Yes, they can work part time on top of their full-time day job but I'm not entirely sure about the laws.

Is it that these WG's also sleep at the hotel, since they are only in HK for a few weeks makes sense, no need to rent a room on a long contract.

Also they can charge more.

Also, if you guys have been to the Sauna or Mongkok scene, talk to the gals/ bosses/ 007s, u will get the simplest answer there is that is correlated to hotel Wgs..........

Of course these gals can't legally work because they don't have working visas.

Why the secrecy?!

While it is not illegal to pay for sex between two consenting adults, it is illegal to solicit sex or to run a bawdy house.

Meaning it is illegal to rent a hotel room and run a sex operation with many clients, that would constitute a bawdy house. Hence the secrecy. It would be no problem if the WG has one appointment that day and have sex w/ one client (aka you), but if the cops have the reason to believe she's seeing multiple clients then the room is considered a bawdy location.

Obviously it's bad for hotel business if raids/sting operations get carried out and the hotel's name is released in public.

True it;s bad for hotel business but they still doing it. the trick is to balance it out.

I have friend working at hotel industries, she told me that it's common for hotel to accept WG but there's a limit on the WG and usually the reception will know it somehow or she is a regular. they then assign the WG to the special floor as every Hotel usually will has dedicated WG floor in their building so that the WG doesnt mix with ordinary people.

In any case, for long time booking, get her real name/age/domicile.....she will be your alibi and vice versa......
