In between all the pubs there were groups of hot girls trying to lure me into where they were standing outside of, saying "just one drink". What is the deal with these girls? Are they on offer? I thought that brothels were illegal here in HK, so would try to keep things under wraps.   What is the deal? Do they just want to rinse me of money and kick me out when I'm drunk and broke? If any of you guys were lured in by one of these little hotties could you please tell me what happens? Any opinions/advice is appreciated. My only report of the place so far is that the MTR is sweet, but the porn is fairly tame. I might have to check out one of the walk ups soon if I can get my act together. You really must be new to HK ... the 'Suzie Wong' bars in Wanchai have mamas or their girls outside trying to lure customers in ... that's when business is slow (usually all the time unless some fleet is in town) and they target people like you ! if you go in for a drink ... be prepared for the following : you order a beer - cost $50 - $100 depending time of day/night the girl(s) would ask you to buy her a drink - cost $200 - $300 per dirnk if you refuse you will be slapped with a cover charge you're not going to get anywhere with the girl unless you bu her many many drinks, pay the escort charge if she goes out with you and also pay bonking charges My advise ... (most girls in these bars are not great lookers anyway) stay away from these places !!!

You'll be better off picking them up from other bars - better for price, GF feel and a longer fuk time !

#8 Post at 5-9-2008 12:25  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #1 munger's post Twice's response nailed it. have heard too many horror stories in other places to have ever gone into one of the girlie bars in WanChai ... e.g. a friend of mine in Budapest had a GBP500 bill for a few drinks one night, they even had the police threatening to book him if he didn't pay ... thank goodness Hong Kong is much safer but you still have to watch your wallet.   If yr looking for service, stick to walkups, you'll do much better and if you're looking for the thrill of the chase, you can go to one of the real discos in Wanchai - drinks will still be expensive, but at least there isn't a mamasan with a revenue target in her sights watching your every move.   I once had a girl offer me an overnight for $400 plus hotel ... which I gracefully declined on the grounds I was getting so much attention for the cost of just a couple of drinks and a dance.

So they always advertise (in the UK atl east) that anything that happens is between mutually consenting adults and that what you're paying for is their time. So because they are quasi-girlfirends, ancilliary costs can come into it if you are not going for short time and want to go out a party.

On my first trip to HK, I ended up in one of these places after a friend's guide book skills got worse and worse as we became filled with alcohol. The ones outside weren't all that and the ones in weren't much better. Fortunately most of us managed to escape without breaking the 1000 barrier, some were not so lucky. I've no idea why people go here when you look at the kinds of hotel girls that are on offer. Even most of the walk ups are 10 times better looking. Wahay 1st post
