you want the cheapest price for sim card, but you don't mind if it's a 1 year contract? it's nonsense

for the company, it's depend in which main country that you are staying. If you are staying in hk most of the time, you can use hutchinson 3
in macau, better buy ctm

There are two companies - China Mobile and 3

China Mobile has a service that allows you to have one sim card and have two numbers (one for HK and another for china) - http://www.hk.chinamobile.com/p_roaming_multino_superior_en.jsp

Three has a service for HK and Macau - http://3g.three.com.mo/chi/20081014.jsp

yes there are pay as you go options, and yes you can dial IDD with some of them, and yes most all of them expire if you dont re-up after a certain number of days. all of these details vary and you might be best of just going to the 3, csl, peoples, etc shops and asking what they can give you that fits your needs.

Thanks guys.

Forgot to mention i already bought a sim card.

I decided to get a sim card 'pay as u go' for hk which works for hk AND china, then when i get to macau, there is a vending machine on the ground floor (as you leave the ferry terminal), where you can buy a macau sim card, just for macau phoning.

Getting 2 seperate sim cards is the best option.

China Mobile AKA PEOPLE is the way to go...

It's only like 2 bucks to activate and 25 HK cents per minute, even to the states! Direct IDD from your cellie.  I bought 100 bucks worth, used it up and then added another 60, lasted me long enough for all mongering, business and personal purposes.
