Gwailoplayer has a mobile but only one, and he does not want to give away the game by panicking when a WG rings it when he is with his wife.
His wife has heard stories from her friends about their how husband start acting strange when their mobile phones ring and believes this could be indicative of an "affair".
She is also wise to the two phone trick
so it is not an option here.
He also has a phone that rings only on his desk and no one else can get the messages, this is why he used this line to make the booking. The WG, bless her heart, is a true professional and knows not to kill the goose here
