Just a follow up report here. Based on my calendar I was too busy to visit one of my regular spots sooner than the last day of the new year on which Lai See should be given, but I had a last minute appointment cancellation and so I took a ride over to my favourite joint in Mongkok.
I gave very small lai see to all of the brothel staff and the affiliated "hotel" cleaning ladies and front desk staff and it went over very well
. I have been seeing some of these same people once a week for more than three years, more frequently than the security staff in my home building

I also had a 100 lai see packet for my regular provider, but she was on holiday that day, and so I tried somebody new and gave her a small packet, 10. A good way to break the ice
Not sure about some of those reports above where the customer was pressured into giving lai see. No one ever pressured me
, I gave willingly as many of these people have looked after me.
I will do the same next year.
