the provider P**W was shit, they charged me for a lot of unsuccesful calls while I was in HK and when I went to complain the customer services told me to buy another pre pay card and try again and suggested that it might be a problem with my phone!!
I bought the phone brand new in HK and I am using it now in UK with no problems at all

How about getting a phone that supports Wifi, and staying at the Kowloon Hotel (free Wifi)?

Do you guys think getting a prepaid phone is the easiest way to get around HK? For someone who is only in HK for 2-3 days every 2-3 months, what would you recommend?

Actually the best way if your current phone is 3G - is to get yourself a pre-paid local SIM card. Switch into your phone to use for all HK/China calls. You will have a local HK no. - that helps a lot especially with the CC girls - most only answer local phone calls. That way, if you really hit it off with a lady and get her no. for extracurrilcular dates, she will have a no. to call.

Also, since you will be going to HK every few months, be sure to replenish the credit your SIM card to preserve the phone number. How else would your local 'honeys' get a hold of you?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, my phone is not 3G so I have to figure out another way.
