I'm assuming you mean with HGs, not walkups.

If that's the case, it depends on a combination of your Cantonese and your relationship with the papa. Most won't take an advanced appointment from a client they don't know.

Your best bet is to have a LOT of backups. An advanced appointment won't help with the switching. But if you politely and firmly say that you're only interested in the girl you asked for, and she isn't the one there when you arrive, just call the papa from the room and tell him you don't want the substitute. Either your girl is busy, or gone, or will magically materialize if you ask. You can also ask for other girls on your "list" that he may be managing. (they use a lot of the same phone numbers). Or you can leave and call another papa when you get outside. Most of the TST hotels are near each other so you'll be able to get to the next location quickly if you need to switch.

I like to bring a printout of the DB pics to see if it's really the girl when I get there. Sometimes it's hard to tell with all the PSing, so a hard copy is handy.

The Photo Shop can be a bitch as is the glamour makeup / photo shoot. Visited Aithne recently and I couldn't tell if it was a bait & switch or PS. I was too ready to go to muck around trying for different girl and  she was kind of nice.
