Question about ferry packages to macau

Hi, i know in the "ferry building" there are a lot of shops who sells packages like free ferry ticket when u get a girl in d1..

My question is, how much are you cheaper by geeting the package? And what kind of packages are there? And how many sauna's are providing it. And is it true that you if you pay with cash you will get a b etter service?

sorry im a newbie

Check out the MAcau FAQ for a detailed breakdown of whats to offer etc

Normally with the package, you get your ferry tickets included (thats like 160 each way, so saving 320), plus normally a side service etc thrown in

i think if you pay cash or credit pretty much the ame, only you mkight get charged an additional 1% or so for credit cards

Good to have some cash handy for tips etc at Sauna....i normally keep a few notes in my phone holder and keep that with me, you can lock it up in Sauna, and then take to the room with you

I have purchased the East Spa package a couple of times, so I can tell you how that works.

After agreeing to the deal, the guy in the shop will issue you a voucher for the sauna. He then runs out to procure a ferry ticket for one of the next ferries. Typically that ferry might be scheduled 45 minutes to an hour later.

The ferry ticket is just a standard TurboJet ticket, so that means you can get on an earlier ferry than your ticket is for if they have empty seats. Note: Last time when I went with a group we got issued tickets for two different ferries. Still managed to get on the same one, but something to be aware of.

When you get to the sauna you hand them your voucher and everything is pretty much like a normal sauna visit from there. I think they issue you with a special color wristband to keep track of which services to provide for free as part of the package and which to charge for.

Once you are done, you go settle the balance for any services used that were not included in the package and you get issued with a voucher for your return ferry ticket. This voucher you then take to a specific shop in the ferry terminal (the name is in Chinese on the voucher, so just try to match the characters to the shop sign). The shop will then issue you with a ticket for one of the next ferries. Typically within 30 minutes, but you can ask for a later one if you want.

Additional notes: The sauna voucher does not need to be used on the same day you bought it if you plan to stay for several days. Also, the voucher for the return ferry ticket can be used on a later day as well.

That is my experience with the East Spa package. Other saunas may do it differently. I have no idea.

One thing for sure, if you want to get on with the deal, get into the ferry boarding area as quick as you can.  With the boats leaving just about every 15 minutes, you might find yourself on an earlier one.   Getting on a boat 15 or 30 minutes early adds that time to your macau stay, always a good thing (or makes up for getting stuck behind people at the Macau terminal (for your non HK resident card holders).

Yeah when you get your package deal, make sure they check with you what time you want to get on the ferry...as a few times I've had some close calls

Haver a great trip and look forward to your reports
