Hi, first-timer here, curious about HGs but clueless about how the hotels stack up.

Have heard many references to E and K hotels in TST, so I guess they're fine, but
how about the others?

I realise what you're paying for isn't 5-star accommodation, but if the room, bed
and shower are grotty, it could be a real turn-off.

Anyone know if the SD in Jordan is OK, or is it a down-at-the-heels place that I
should stay clear of?

Also, with an HG, is it necessary to confirm the fee at the outset? (Kinda shatters  
the GFE fantasy ).
