is it me or does some of the older member take too much advantage of it. if you have a pic of girl nude or is some action i could understand y u might want to put a ra access on it. but if you are just showing a face or the body of the girl cloth is it really necessary, but it also might be the fact i can't view the pic. i'm not here to bitch about anything just want to read some of your guy opinion on this.

For someone who joined here some 2 years ago and is still a newbie, I would say this ...

one of the reasons there's a RA level is precisely because of people like you ... do you understand what I mean ?

BTW since you can't see them, what makes you think some of the RA pics are of the face or fully dressed girls ?

my opinion is that if you want to see the fruits of others hard work, you must share also and that means sharing on this forum.  it is actually quite easy to get enough RA to see most of the pix on this forum...

and twice is right, you've been here since 2007 but still at newbie status..., the RA is designed exactly for people like YOU.

Reality is as much as we're willing to share just for the good of everyone, there are some things we choose to share with others who worked just as hard as we have to contribute and make a difference.  We respect beginners and support everyone who makes a genuine effort, but we're not slaves.

i agree no pain no gain, one thing i took exception is to is people saying i've been a member her for 2 years i'm a newbie, i could easily could create a new account then it would state i was here a couple days ago so i don't think there is any relevance to it, but then again i'm too lazy hence i guess i'm still a newbie, oh well i guess i gotta work harder. one more thing for the newbie how many people the same way.

Hi Bro - rest assured - you're in good company - there are LOTS of people like you who have been members for a couple of years without ever making a posting ...

Good news is RA is not awarded by some membership committee applying arcane rules and secret initiation rites - it's very very simple: be anactive participant, and you earn it with your contribution.  Make you contributions as valuable as you can, and the senior bros accellerate your credit.

I risk sounding arrogant, I'll just say it plainly. Karma score here is a product of members contribution, NOT their privilege. Every few months a member feels oppressed by their low RA and brings this subject up.

I'm not sure why you think it's unfair to have selective restricted access for those who have contributed the most. It's also an easy condition to fix, if you write reports and you'll have plenty of access. When I started I went from Newbie to Conqueror (plenty of access) in under 1 week. I think that the RA access limits we've got are actually fairly low hurdles to meet.

As to the issue of why we bother with the restrictions, it's a bit of a mixed bag. Partly its to keep inexperienced punters from polluting the shared sandbox (more commonly known as Hong Kong) we all play in (until they've gained some experience), sometimes its to make it harder for the authorities to crack down on service providers we like. And sometimes it's just as recognition for the others that have spend dozens of hours of effort writing reports and commenting.

In the bit torrent world there are seeders and leechers. Why not reward the seeders for their efforts. It's a lot of work writing and for myself, while I generally don't mind having others read the reports I write, I do write them FOR the other participants, not for the spectators.

So if you ever wondered why I slap so hard when I see newbies trying to "game" the system to get karma for a higher RA, its because flooding meaningless posts isn't the same as actually participating.

My best advice for punters wanting to actually join our community is to just jump in and do it by writing about your own experiences. You'll get feedback pretty quickly about what the other members found useful information, and you'll get recognition for your contributions in the form of karma rewards.

RA30 isn't really that difficult to reach with a little participation, even if you don't have reviews to contribute you may have comments, ideas, or suggestions.  Heck, spend some time in the internetation and Q&A sections, and perhaps you can add some stuff there too.    I am going to be on my third HK visit in a week or so now, but in between I am still active still asking questions, and still adding comments where they fit.

Community, that's what it's all about.

It's really very easy...  Bonk, report, comment... then get reading access.  It's all very simple and a very elegant system really...

You need to stop trying so hard...  just try to contribute in a balanced way...  which means lots of good reports!  Karma and access will come in time.  Getting recognised here is a lot like getting women to notice you...  the more you desperately seek their attention, the less interest they have.  Grow up...  learn patience...

since gary put it that way i could understand the why you want to ra on the face pic, as i'm pretty sure is hard to find a wg that fix your need. let me clear something up i don't have any problem with the system, i just stating people taking advantage of the system.

The system is actually designed to allow the contributor to choose where and how to post pics.  If the contributor wishes to post pics and reports for the broader community, he can do that.  If he only wishes to share with fellow active contributors, he can do that too.  It's not about taking advantage, but about choice.

Now you have RA20 ... do you see those pics you're talking about ?

i'll demonstrate an example and you tell me how you feel. i went to visit a wg, she is heavy photoshop and her real life pic is 40% different but you could tell is her. of course i have photo of her too these photo are not nude. and you were a newbie. she might not be the girl you would want to visit but she provide me excellent service and imo i think she is fine. but since you don't have access to photo you wouldn't be able to make that decision for yourself but base on my report. i'm not saying there shouldn't be ra access. but shouldn't there be a guild line
