I can not get out of my head the post of a fellow bro who said he would not go alone to CP because it is too dangerous and if alone would rather go to Macau. What I was hoping from you guys is some perspective. In HK, 108 people got killed by car accidents last year and the govie and some people think it is outrageous. I saw some protesters yesterday who were asking for LOWER TAXES!!! I know some people think Wanchai is "dangerous"! Can some one give me a clue whether it is suicidary for me to go there alone or whether it is no more dangerous than walking around let's say Vietnam? I am foreign looking altough not caucasian.. I will be looking touristy like mad (without the camera). What do you guys think? And while I am at it, which hotel do you suggest should I book to stay Friday night with a Sunday checkout?

I want to explore mainland china too but I know I'll stick out like a sore thumb. I don't speak mandarin or cantonese and I don't know how much of a drawback that will be when it comes to mongering alone in china either.

Just go to the joints recommended and posted by bros in this forum, at least they are well known and safe and u wont go wrong..... If shit happen.......RUN!!!! Don;t walk thru shortcut , back alley, narrow street....... another thing, understand that u going for few nites. You can save the cost by sleeping over at the SN, free after 11.30pm. If u want gal for overnite, best bet is to go Jiayi KTV, pick and go. PAyment, everything is after the sess, do not pay upfront...no such thing...bullshit.
