Some Wiki Bullshit below, funny though. It's amazing what a lot of bullsh*t is appearing thanks to the current photo scandal in HK. This gave me a good laugh:
In January 2008, nude photos purportedly of Cecilia surfaced on the Internet, believed to be stolen from the personal computer of Edison Chen. On 29 January, at 12:30 p.m., a photograph of a woman fondling her nipples with her legs wide apart appeared on the internet.
Since Hong Kong is a former British colony, unlike in the People's Republic of China, nudity, especially among celebrities was not something scandalous or novel. What shocked the Hong Kong society was that the photographs of Cecilia Cheung circulated on the internet showed her vagina with unshaven, burly, unprocessed, black pubic hair, a critical fashion faux pas in a traditionally Chinese society where the idealized feminine model is a smooth hairless Confucian virgin.
The Chinese has been proud for centuries of their hairlessness, as among world civilizations, the Chinese civilization is the oldest, lasting almost 5000 years. Body hair in Chinese society is associated with the barbarians like the Japanese, the Manchu and Westerners. Many among the Hong Kong community has been seriously outraged by these photographs, especially among the Hong Kong gay community.
As in the U.S., pubic hair on the female is considered vulgar and uncivilized and barbaric, and many are shocked that an A-list Hong Kong actress, of mixed Chinese and English ancestry, does not shave, giving much shame to the Chinese society. In addition, the photographs show her exposed vagina and clitoris, without a man subduing it. As principal focus, the vagina connotes intense Yin and diabolical energy, and a vagina in the middle of a photographic portrait in Chinese society is considered highly inauspicious to view, especially during the Chinese New Year. These photographs have circulated in the Hang Seng office just before Chinese New Year.
Many have blamed the fall of the recent plunge in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as caused by bad luck brought about by photos of an unknown hairy vagina of a starlet. In Chinese saying, "tragedy is brought on by the woman". In the photograph, the subject bore the likeness of Cecilia Cheung. The photographs became the talk of the town, and journals attempted to authenticate the photographs by comparing physical features of the starlet. Local discussion forums became saturated as a result.
Another picture of Cecilia Cheung performing fellatio showed an exposed tongue covered with white thrush, and yellow stains, prompting rumors about her sexual health, since thrush is associated with deadly sexual diseases such as HIV. All these have intensified rumors about the celebrity.
