Just Wondering ... from experience, do WG's all go home for Golden Week?

Hey Bro's

Was just wondering if huge numbers of WG's leave for home for Golden Week?  Do Papa's and Mama's start increasing their prices cause of short supply?  Or do we in fact get more choices cause the girls use the Golden Week as an excuse to come here for a week and ake some cash?

Would love to know what happened in previous years.

I have never had the pleasure of being in HK during Golden week.  Mostly been on business abroad !!

Thanks in advance !!

The China golden week shouldn't be a factor on wg supply. That said, the only time that affects wg supply is during the Chinese lunar new year when it's a time for family gatherings (usual mass migration of people going back to their home towns in china to celebrate).

yup. i would agree with bro AP on this.

although i have been told that on the mainland at least, there are 2 occasions which would
potentially affect the supply of WGs: one being the chinese lunar new year (usually in feb)
and the other being this national celebration period.

WGs only head home during one of these periods. most would go home for the lunar
new year holiday season. if they have done that, then they will not tend to go home during
the golden week period. but there will be those who for some reason did not manage to
go home during for the new year celebrations, then this golden week will be when they will
make their annual trip back to their home towns (but this is the minority - most would
go home during the new year period as mentioned by bro AP).

Just to further add, the official public holidays is from Oct 1 to Oct 3. So you'll probably find most mainlanders going home this weekend and taking the 28th to 30th off work for the long holiday week. Or as wazzy88 said take holiday to the 7th.

Also the mainland government has relaxed the visiting regulations for Guangdong residents to Macau. So expect more mainlanders to be visiting Macau on a more frequent basis - for gambling that is.

Saying that ... I have noticed more and more mainlanders in Sauna's these days.  I remember a couple of years back, it was all Canto speakers.  Now, When I'm in the room / sauna areas, all I can hear is Mandarin and Japanese ..
