Hmmmm, if anyone knows anything about Australian demographics they will know that we poke fun at the fine people in the state of Tasmania.  [they are looked upon similarly to hillbillies]  Hence the following joke.

Billy comes to his father one day and says that he needs to go and find himself a wife.  His father reluctently agrees and lets Billy leave the farm in search of a wife.  Billy is gone for a week and returns home with good news.  Billy tells his father eagerly that he has found a girl and excitedly informs him that she only lives in the next township and that the best news of all is that she is a virgin.  At which the smile on his fathers face turns to a scowl and he shouts at Billy that he can't marry her.  

Billy is gutted and wimpers why cant he marry his sweetheart?  

His father replies:  If she's not good enough for HER family, then she is definately not good enough for his family!
