How many of you miss Beyond????   I heard their music earlier ......and they rock!!!!!

It sucks that Wong Kai Kui died man.  He really wrote great songs and kicked ass playing guitar and singing.  I think he wrote the song Amani Na ku penda wee wee!  That song was awesome and my all time favorite is the song he dedicated to his Mother.  The music is catchy, the song has so much meaning, and he is ultra "how suin" for writing that song.

For the Non-Asians, "how suin" translates loosely as filial piety, respecting, thanking and showing 110% gratitude for all the love our parents and grandparents has shown us throughout our lives.

My sons and I actually sang this song to my Mom and my Wife during the past Mother's day.  It was pretty funny because we only had 2 weeks to practice and my youngest simply mumbled throughout the whole thing.  Too funny.

BTW... here is the song for all you "how suin" sons out there.
How could you not respect a man who worships his mother?  Too bad I can't find the translations in English for our non-asian brothers.  It would probably make them call their mother's to tell them that they love them too.

Thanks for bringing Beyond up, I just took out a few of the older albums and totally relaxing to these songs!  I also loved Grasshopper growing up too, some of their songs are awesome too!

You have no idea what you are missing.  Their songs are 1000Xs better than the crap bands put out now.

Were there any new bands in the last decade? Not that I now of...maybe you are so right....all of them are CRAP!!!!

Grasshopper was not bad.......great performer on stage and though 3 diff singers but very cohesive when singing those dance hits.....too bad they came out during the time when Beyond Reign.....they are always the 2nd best......

There have been a few bands but they really don't make it because they are trying to ride that boy band concept.  Beyond was the real thing with real musicians.

I was really suprised when i visited HK a few months ago and while getting my haircut at a hair salon, they played Beyond music DVD. There is no band in HK now that catch my attention period.

Yep...they write and compose their own songs...that;s what make them unique.

If you listen to their lyrics carfefully, very meaningful.......

You can just play their songs over and over........I would rate them as the Asian's Kurt Cobain /Nirvana.....

I still sing their songs in Karaoke and played their songs at home.......full blast!!!

best band so far in the history of HK.  the canto pop shit out there is so boring, just fucking sad.

Somehow i lost my Beyond's CDs .....so I just listen at youtube or imeem. Will get their CDs on my next trip to HK in Sept.

FYI, Beyond just released 25 years anniversary cd and there are 3 cds in it. great for collection.
