Using these forums on my mobile

I'm starting to access these forums using my mobile phone.
Is there some way to make everything download and generally run faster?
For example, can I block those ads at the top from appearing?
I guess it would be best to view these forums in a simpler text format...
but no idea how to go about doing these things...

HELP!

There are no way to block the ads when surfing the site via your mobile phone as the browser is a stream down version of the PC browser.

The only way around is to develop the site for a mobile version, which would be text base with minimal graphics.

On my ancient O2 XDA mini II (circa 2005) , I turn off ALL graphics which speeds it up quite a bit as the text is minimal.

If you use "Three" then you can use 3xplorer to access it instead of your phone browser,... It runs so much faster and you can control images much better.

The only problem is I can't start polls on it

I assume you're not referring to the "mobile" version of the site ..?  That's clean and fast ...
