Hand her tissue is a small move, but instead of letting her do all the cleaning, you 'help'. That psychologically makes her feel warmth, caring. The level of sexual health knowledge in HK is shockingly aweful! I thought the UK had it bad what with it's crazy teen pregnancy rates but i don't think i've ever met a local here who had even the slightest knowledge without a boat load of myths to go with it.  How does HK get away without all the unwanted teen pregnancies? or is it here and i don't see it?  And I'd expect there to be high levels of STD's around too? the awareness that these even exist seems to be even lower than pregnancy issues

The 97% rating is in truth a bit unrealistic.  It takes into account retarded users.  People who don't konw how to use them or apply them and end up tearing them etc.  These ppl of course experience a high rate of mishap but as anyone who does know how to use one (and and has lots more than 100 uses) you don't get 3 out of every 100 breaking. IN fact I've never had a break.  The 97% doesn't mean you'll get a baby for the remaining 3 % either, it just means that the condom has failed it's protective function.

In the UK they have similar posters but the rate they state is about 75% effectiveness if used PERFECTLY....

Used imperfectly which I've seen happen more than once (usually off country bumpkins from Mainland who put them on backwards , leave air bubbles or tear them with their fingers or store them improperly) the rate is about 25% protection.

seen those posters with the `used correctly' phrase, but even then i think the 97% includes breakage, which shouldn't happen unless you put it on incorrectly or you're using a dom way too small--in which case most men, i would think, would stop way before ejaculation because of the pain. or you allow yourself to go soft while still inside and some leakage occurs.
i think that 97% also doesn't take into account the spermicide you'll find in most doms.
and finally, even if leakage/breakage occurs, that still won't translate automatically into a pregnancy, even if the girl's ovulating--sometimes the sperm just don't get to the egg.

Coming to statistics, you guys interprete that 97% the wrong way also.
97 % means EVERY TIME you use a new condom, you have a safety factor of 97% taken into account external and personal factors.
The next time you use one, it won't drop to 96%, it will be 97% AGAIN. See?
