No change.  A lot of the bars have 'drug free workplace' posters up now, but that's about all that I can see.

As a filipino.

P4P is alive and well. The thing about Pres. Duterte is he just doesnt want drugs so as long as you dont have any drugs on you and are your usual careful mongering self, you should be good. but of course P4P is still illegal. They just dont care about it as much.

His home town of Davao way down in mindanao has a famous pickup spot for prostitutes He regularly made spot checks there to see that they were not being harrassed he understands that it is a business and as long as you are being safe about he will not bother you too much.

Philippines isn't as safe compared as other SEA countries but if anything, the war on drugs is making it safer for us mongerers.

i think philippines is still safe even with the new president. he might be strict w peace and order which i think is good in generally for everybody even foreigners. He just likes to bust drug users but WG and the like is safe and still continues.

if your interested for a quick fix while in PI. if you have logistic like a car, its easy to just drop by a massagr parlor that do special service. there is alot actually in the quezon ave area. you can just choose a girl from an aquarium of girls then pay for room and tip the girl later. i think some of this places has better ladies than some escort service if you compare them.

most local does this route as it is easier for them in and out haha you can check out kremlin, wilderness, goodlife, sylvanus to mention afew. hope this help

As usual common sense is most useful. If the area looks dodgy with shady people in dark alleyways, don't be too surprised if shit happens there. The death squads are real, and they are probably not the sharpest shooters in the world. Spray and pray would I guess be the standard method used.

Well lit, crowded areas with tourists, shopping/business/districts, those should be OK
