Ran across my first Columbian tonight, and she started at HK$4k and flat out wouldn't budge below HK$2k for a midnight Short time encounter.
Ran across a Russian later on the street and she started at HK$3k and didn't go below HK$2.5k for the same but we didn't try that hard, and it was a 3am encounter.

Did I miss a new trend, as I'm normally a pretty good negotiator, so it seemed a bit odd.  The Columbian was a 4.5/5, the Russian 3.75/5.

because April is a big month for trade fairs, the girls may have been spoilt by Bros prepared to overpay for the past few weeks. Same thing happens in October. I agree those quotes sound very high.

Would November be a better time to punt in HK?

Were did you pick up the girls? I was in hari few weeks back and I got a mongian for about hkd1500 for O/N. I tot that's quite reasonable.

The last Mongolian offer I had was $1k a few months ago, near closing time.  The Columbian was in Hari's, the Russian was on Moby road on the way to Sticky Fingers.

There's something in the Bar Guide sticky in the CHAT section about pricing. Post #4 has a comprehensive price list and also some info on what increases the price and what lowers it. I think somewhere else in that thread is a reference to April & October being expensive months to punt.

The problem is, some European Bros are used to paying top dollar for a punt and so an offer of HK$2K for ST seems OK. It's a bit like wondering how they sell alcohol at HKIA??? For Japanese Bros and others it's cheap. For me it's expensive.

The strategy to get the price down with Mongolian girls is multiple sessions. I find that even if the first time I am with an MG she insists on $1.5 - $2K over night, for subsequent punts I almost always get $1K tops.

I call it the "AXE MURDERER FACTOR"... When a Bar girl prices you up, she considers a number of things including:
(1) Market Rate: what's been going on at that time? What is she worth compared to competition?
(2) Her needs: is she in a hurry to pay back her travel loan?
(3) Danger Money: she doesn't have to enjoy the sex with you, but she doesn't want to hate it either. Do you look like a nice guy or a load mouth? Do you look rough or friendly?
(4) What she thinks you can afford?

There are other issues like what time is it, where she needs to travel with you to your hotel etc. However the big one you can change on a second "date" is number 3. That's the one she's most concerned about anyway... Once she knows you're a nice guy, treat her will, PAY her etc she can relax. The next night in the bar she looks around and says to herself... "do I want to guy with the same guy as last night for $1K or that rough looking jerk for $2K???"

Second and subsequent punts are advantage punter!

Another tip, get her phone number and call her mid afternoon for an early punt. You will get a great bargain because she can work again that night, and you can go out and get smashed with a big smile on your face that night.

Ya TT, I know the chart in the Bar Guide, I couldn't remember the pricing in the moment I needed it but knew it felt high at that time.  At least I know withthe Apr/Oct peaks I feel like I paid the least I could on the conditions.  As with everything else, a lot to remember in a relatively new place with different rulesand guidelines than more straightforward places like Europe.  What I paid for the Columbian is on par with an hour in most major US cities for a punt of roughly her quality.

What I need to get better at is getting numbers for repeat punts, I generally enjoy sampling new flavors as part of my fun with punting, but need to recognize the value of getting the price down for the repeat business as I assume once they figure they can get $X out of me once, it will be harder to get it lower next time, and yield to your more extensive HK experience.

use it to your advantage "hey, that's all I can afford tonite, sorry... but we had fun last time, and at least you know I'm a nice guy, some of these other guys, maybe they'll pay more? how knows??? maybe they wont pay at all...?" Your best deal though is the afternoon punt. I have a friend who likes variety just like you but also likes value. So what he does, is he punts at night then has an afternoon punt with the same girl, then a new one that night then have her the following afternoon. He actually showed me some calculations where he worked out the average cost of each girl to demonstrate the value.
