#1 Post at 12-4-2011 06:27  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Ladies Drinks At a bar the other nite, not one of the curtained ones that there are numberous warnings about, it was called Club Country 88 (see report in Newbie section on the lovely Anna). Ladies drinks were $320 which seemed to be at the top of the range of any of the clubs I have read about but at least I knew the price (by asking) before agreeing to one. Anyway when I came to settle up they added a further 10% "service fee" which I questioned as that doesn't seem right to me. Can bros advise if this is usual to add such a fee? In places like these bro you want to be careful. They will get money out of you anyway they can, and even if the police come, most of the time they will just ask you to pay the bill. #3 Post at 13-4-2011 07:27  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L No, Club Country 88 is not a curtain bar so I didn't expect the price to be so high and their math was wrong - in their favour even after adding 10%, some nice rounding on their part. I am very careful in these places having been stung in Shanghai a few years back for RMB6000. Like I said my main interest is whether I should expect a service fee, sounds like not and I need to ask the question before sitting down and ordering I guess. Really annoys me when they hit you with it out of no where, therefore I need to ask all prices before ordering anything.
