I'll be in HK for about a week in August.

Traveling solo and am here to see the sites.

I'm looking to find a "girlfriend" during this time who can accompany me while I see all the major sites in HK and basically just hang out.

What's my best plan of action for finding such a "Girlfriend"?

Hit a bar in Wan Chai and try to find a Filipino?  I'd prefer Chinese, but she needs to be able to speak Engrish.

Thing is I'm not really a bar guy... I don't like smoke and having to shout to talk to someone.

What kind of cost do you think I'd be looking at?  I'd pay her way for everything, so I dunno.

Also, I know a lot of you guys advocate sampling as many from the smorgasbord approach as possible approach to the girls, but I'd prefer to be with one girl assuming we got along

Are you just looking for a daytime companion / guide or an all-in-one package?  I highly doubt any girl will be an excellent guide during the day and be a total GFE in bed at night - sounds like the stuff of dreams, or you'll be paying through the roof.

For daytime companions/guides, there are quite a few.  I know a few social circles but a warning: these are civvies, not WGs, and any arrangement is strictly between you two.

Filipino bar girls - plenty of them.  Getting them to accompany you isn't difficult especially if you're not Chinese (ethnically) (and recommended if you aren't Chinese).

If you just want someone to be a 'daytime gf' then you can even try dating sites.  You'll be surprised by how many girls there (located in HK) are only there for friendship (at first, at least).  The other social circles I had in mind would involve you being physically in HK, so that may be challenging.

That way, you can have someone accompany you to 'tag along' but maybe not be as caring or all over you as a gf.

Another option is to hit the bar scene (especially Wanchai, not so much Central - Lan Kwai Fong/Soho) very soon after you arrive.  If you hit it off with a bargirl/civvie/possibly WG, then she may give you what you want.

Hit up the freelancers in the bars in Wan Chai for sure. Most of the girls don't do much during the day anyways (though their day usually starts in the afternoon) and would probably enjoy sightseeing. But keep in mind that most of them are on short stay visas and trying to earn as much cash as possible before returning home. Its very possible they'll want cash for their time unless they really like you and see you as a potential BF / sponsor. And its not likely you'll find a Chinese WG in Wan Chai either.  

But I'd really recommend trying out all the different punting options while you're here. So much to try. If you want to do the 1 week girlfriend thing go to Thailand.

Generally speaking, does your typical Filipino bar girl have two clients a night?  Or maybe just one?

I know it's tough to say because there are a million variables at play.

You have a lot more options at the bars in wamchai.  Some of the freelance girls would be more than happy to get paid to spend the day with you, but probably after you bought them some drinks, possibly had you that first nite and felt comfortable enough to see you the next day.  There are quite a variation of girls in the bars, some get a couple guys a nite some get a couple guys a week, and a few live off of drinks alone.   Some are freelancing and have their own schedule, some work under a sponsor and every minute they are monitored.

The ones with their own schedule probably are a better fit cuz they can have an earlynite in order to wake up in time to join u for a tour.  The ones on a schedule work specific time shifts so they might work until 6am everyday and not be awake until 3-4pm next day.

English is a heck of a lot easier with a filipina, but there are Latin girls, eastern european, Thai, indonesian, Vietnamese, and Chinese, so there is some variety.

I say hit a bar, connect with a girl and make it happen, they are all working and looking for income, this would be a great way for them to earn extra...

easy as a kid game to stay with the same freelancers daytime/nightime who she can show you the city and the hot spots, like a girlfriend... it's very common, especially in Pattaya.

Thanks to the OP to ask the questoon, because i asked the same question myself, where i can find a HK girl to visit me the city ? well... after a few days reading the board i decided to visit and discover alone and hunting at night
but i think will be too busy with the DB girls to visit someting...

If it helps, I am not a Bar Type guy, and don't really drink.
However, I do tend to hit the bars in Wan Chai when I am in HK and have time on my hands. Sometimes just to have a bit of a fun so to speak.
First time I went I did feel intimidated, and like a fish out of water, as A: as I said not really a bar guy back home & B: when I do go to bars I'm usually with friends.
That said once you get past the going in alone, you'll find all the girls are really friendly, don't be shy (as I was) and look around you'll find many looking for eye contact, just give them a smile and either go over or call them to you. No one will be offended.
I have gone many times, and just found a nice girl to have a laugh with, if it seems good you can take it from there.
On my last trip I did hook up with a girl who physically didn't do it for me, but she was really good company and I spent a couple of daytimes hanging out (No Charge) and seeing some sights, which I did entrance for, food etc. A real shame I didn't fancy her, as it would have been perfect.
My advice would be try a few of the bars and take your time, chat to a girl or two in each bar to get a feel, and see if you can find one to hit it off with.

Yes Wan Chai is the fastest way to find exactly what you're looking for.

Seriously, in the bars ALL the girls speak at least sufficient English to get by.  
Been chatted up by a number of Shanghainese, so if you want Chinese go for it.
Other alternatives are Thai and Indo.  The ones who are in the bars necessarily can communicate.  

But, again, if you want Chinese you can find it ... you just shouldn't expect to find HK Chinese in a Wanchai bar, that's a whole different level of play where you're more likely to end up frustrated ...

Here's a tip: if you want to communicate, don't directly approach the girl but instead signal your availability by walking slowly through the crowd - in the busier bars you'll be grabbed by a girl who has the confidence to try to speak with you, and in the quieter ones you can avoid ones who are trying to hold back.


These are not bars in the traditional sense.  The WGs will try to get you away as quickly as they can.  If they don't, they're probably just trying to get lady drinks instead of FS, and no benefit for you to spend time or money on them, just walk on.  

All that means the noise is simply a way for you to
  a) get physically close and see how she reacts and
  b) have a private conversation that noone can hear, directly into her ear, then
  c) say this is too noisy, can we go somewhere else?  

If you're relaxed about it, a good gameplan would be just to go for the punt, and let the girl go afterwards.  Do it again a couple of times before choosing a girl - the probability of one of them being bored and appreciating some company the next day is very high.  Much better to do it that way than to go in trying to negotiate a tour-guide from the outset, in a noisy bar where she's originally just looking for a quick $uck, and more likely to lead to freebies and good chemistry.

I may be speaking out of ignorance, certainly out of inexperience, but based on what I have read on this forum, here are my thoughts.

$1000 for the day + expenses (travel + food) might be enough. If you want to have sex and/or secure her for the evening, you are going to have to pay more than that. Depending on your negotiating skills, I would say double to triple (meaning around $2500+ per full day including sex & overnight).

I agree that finding a Filipino or possibly Thai in Wanchai is your best bet, since they tend to be cheaper than PRC and usually have better English skills.

My suggestion is to search bar reports and Tony Toro did a long post on the bar scene with some pricing charts. That would be a good place to do some research. Thai-Delight is also familiar with the bar scene and could offer some insight.

Like another commenter said, this is much easier in Thailand (or the Philippines) where it is cheaper and more common.

One last suggestion is a girl named Kim in TST. There are some pretty recent reports on her in the walk-up section. She is Vietnamese and a sexy & friendly MILF. Since she is very service-oriented instead of volume-conscious, she might go for it, but her hourly rates are $1000. You could always have a mid-afternoon session with her and then check out the bar scene that night. If you had a good rapport with her and didn't find a bar girl, then make an offer.

You can certainly find this in WanChai...  many of the girls would enjoy a break from the routine while still getting paid.  Before I moved my family here and was living out of hotels I did this a fair bit with gals.  (though never for a whole week - I need a little more variety than this...).

Some tips:

- dont discuss this the first nite.  Meet a gal you seem to click with, enjoy her for a nite (should cost between $1000 to $2000 for all nite) and see how you still groove together in the morning.
- if you still dig her enough, tell her you are going siteseeing, you "think she is cool, and do you want to join me".  She might have plans that day already so dont be put off, if she cant then maybe she can start being your companion the day after (or some such).  
- with bar freelancers I found that showing them a good time, paying all their daily amounts (food, entrance fees, maybe a bit of shopping) plus the regular over-nite fee ($1000 - $2000 depending on the chick) was enough.  I have never paid more than this...

BUT:  you do have this click with them to get this "special" price.  If they are not truly enjoying their time with you you'll be paying a whole lot more...  so be as charming as you would be when picking up a civvie on that first nite and she'll be happy to spend her days with you.

And dont be shy in Wanchai!  The hard part is not finding a sexy gal, the hard part is saying no the dozens that approach you that you DON'T want.

Sorry if this question is more intended for the 'Bar' thread, but what's the best way to find out if the girl is being supervised under a manager (which I don't want), or if she's a true freelancer who has no boss and who can make her own schedule.

Would I just say: "So, do you have a manager?"

If u like her and are ready to pay for the night it will come up during negotiations.  There will be some price offer and counter offer and you will find out at that point.  Make sure you bring it up.

If u don't like to drink I've sipped a beer for a long time then switched to bottled water....nobody cared as long as the ladies get a drink, they get a small commission for each drink You buy them.

As for noise, sit further back from the front the music is less, but the noise does allow you to get right up to the girl, feelher shoulder, smell her hair, get intimately close but with in the guise of just trying to communicate so it can work to your advantage.  Especially if you are a little on the shy side, that close ear talking forces you to get in close proximity where normally you would never invade her personal space so easily.

I once had my knowledge of the business backfire on me.  I was with a fair gang of WGs in WanChai.  We're having fun all nite and somehow the conversation about the whole "WanChai scene" came up.  I obviously know a lot about it and shared various options with them they hadnt heard of (such as the 141 DB, 161, Hotel Girls, etc.).  They chatted together and suddenly left.  

Huh?  I met one a few nites later - turns out they thought I was a cop.  Haha.  Surely only a vice-cop would know THAT much about WanChai prostitution!

Made me chuckle.

I have had similar problems... talking too much and knowing about how their scene works can be very off-putting for some girls...

Slowly learning to pretend to be ignorant... as long as it doesn't turn to real ignorance...
