IF you are a local you make 15000 per month? Dude what about the middle class and for those who make 15000, they usually get denied a mortgage for close to 70% of their monthly income .  For a guide to how income and mortgages work go read up mortgage policies on HSBC website or something.  No banks would give you a mortgage with a monthly parment of 70% of your income, they are greedy but not idiots, well atleast not in Hong Kong!!

If we look at the demographics of Hong Kong, there are two groups that have the most disposable income to monger.  1st WW2 baby boomers are coming close to their retirement age, end of their career, no mortgage, children have jobs and many of them have the most percentage of disposable income in Hong Kong. 2ndly Young generation with B-days in the mid 70s to mid 80s, many still live with their parents, as its a tradition that you only move u when you get married in HK.  So we are talking about people in their 20s that dont need to pay rent.

Further more if you think that business from expats and foreigners are enough to sustain such a healthy trade in HK then you are very naive.  How often do you see expats or foreigners go mongering?  Do you see white guys queuing up outside brothels, NO they are chinese!!  Just compare the size of the chinese side of the forum and this side and you will know that Fei_cock you are full of shit.

actually...this is no indication that chinese people monger more than the expats, HK populations IS majority chinese/asian people...and one chinese person may only monger 1-2 times a month as what feicock says...but keep in mind..there's still be hundreds/thousands..or more chinese that does the same thing...hence the amount of chinese/asian people queueing outnumbered the expats/foreigners.

i do believe that foreigner on a mission...will be doing alot more mongering than local people...due to some fact as such...
