Is this just a random check that hotels do from time to time or is this new policy at the E hotel? I know that the RK hotel has implemented this policy permanently, has the E hotel done the same?!

It is possible that this is a new thing from the E Hotel - if anyone has any experiences, please share. I was there recently (butnot as recent as two days ago) and didn't have to register. I wouldn't want to register so any hotel which starts doing that is 'off the list'.

I think I will avoid staying at hotels like these. Going to the RK the other day and ending up in the lift and pressing the button like I was having an epileptic fit wondering WTF was happening only to be helped out by the other guy in the lift who was actually a guest was bad enough.

I went to the E hotel in TST today and no security.. walked right to the elevators.. so possibly they the one with security is the E hotel in Jordan?
