After noticing a certain member's status being demoted to 'Beggar', I thought to myself: I wonder if that's the lowest grade one can achieve? Also, how many beggars are there in this forum/community? Is there a thread somewhere that explains each ranking and their abilities?

Beggar is as low as it gets.   Very few beggars - the ONLY way to achieve THAT ranking is to seriously piss people off and get hammered by a mod or an Emperor (or above) ... hard to do actually ... but some exceptionally talented people are able to achieve it very quickly Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!

#3 Post at 3-8-2009 14:39  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Reply #2 DArtagnan's post I think there is a slight inaccuracy in the referenced link...  It says that beggars have zero or negative credits and that newbie status starts at one credit.  I think, in fact, that a member must actually go strictly negative to achieve beggar status.  Members with zero credits are newbies.  One cannot be born a beggar; one must acquire such status... In any case, the members' database currently contains 28,733 members (not all active, certainly!).  Of these, only a select group of 67 have acquired beggar status.  As DArtagnan says, there are some exceptionally talented people out there!   Have fun, CGP

#4 Post at 3-8-2009 15:20  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L From previous readings, I believe beggars are those that spam the forum, in turn forcing the moderators to take off all their postings.  Most of these members are banned, but in certain cases, the situation does not warrant an outright ban, so the member was demoted to a beggar status.  Hope this clears it up.
