Yeah, a line forming is always a good sign but might mean a long wait and a tired WG when you get in. This isn't like a diner.

I agree that it's variable in gauging and reading the "signs"...in different location, the girls tend to behave a little differently. But if the girl gives eye contact and smile usually means she likes you and that is normally a good start...but then again, the girl may not necessary have the skill level to satisfy every men. We all have different tastes as well as expectations.

In my opinion, it's a matter of personal preference. Some like the challenge and enjoy the "hunt" for the perfect prey (which could go both ways), some like the no headache no frills straight to the point "sales and purchase" method. my experience tends to agree with yours. A "short time" in Bar Girl terms means 2 - 3 hours, while a long time tends to mean over night. If you ensure the WG understands your expect multiple or unlimited pops then that's what you will get.

I guess, at least in my experience Bar Girls offer you the ability to negotiate. Not necessarily to screw down the price, I mean negotiate the type of service you want. Interesting topic this has turned into! Not so much related to OP’s topic, but perhaps I should explain why I choose HG's and WU's over bar girls from my personal experiences.

For me, punting in HK is already quite dangerous and even from non-punting experiences, I've found out and learnt that HK is just a small small place and there are just too many eyes and ears around. Clearly, I don't have the years of experience that many of you had. I've only been at this for 3 years. Mainly with HG's, WU's, KTV's and Sauna's in HK, China and Thailand. Admittedly, my bar girl experiences are more limited but its for the reasons above that I stopped.  

Alot of negatives were mentioned in association with HG's... the only one I buy is the dead-fish girl who is also usually a girl you don't connect with… hard to predict when, but even this has been rather rare for me in recent times. So add on the revisits in HK, which is about another 60 punts and the total ratio of bad to good is really low.

B&S is probably the other big negative mentioned for HG's but I don't buy into this as for the most part, it can avoided with smart picking (spend time on the forums and read... it doesn't take much to understand the good and the bad). I've only been B&S four times ever. Three times were early in my punting career (these things you just learn...) and once this year. For the most part, walk away if it happens. I get it though, if you are just starting out, that may not be the easiest thing to do. The first three times I didn't walk away (as it turns out, two ended up being great sessions), but the B&S this year, I turned around and called the next person on my list. When they’re back in China though… Now its true that the girls come from all over China, but you will find that alot of them (maybe half) that come to HK as HG's spend quite a bit of time living in the Guangdong area (Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Guangzhou etc…). What this means, is that other than returning to the hometown for special occasions or emergencies, they will largely be based within 2 hours of travelling from HK. 80% of the time they are free whenever you ask them/they ask you, and I’ve done many of these trips over the 3 years spending the day or up to 3 nights at a time in China just hanging out, having fun, and crazy sex. I’ve paid an average of about $1500 for 24 hours of fun and this is not because the girls ask for it. Actually, only once was money ever brought up beforehand. In all other cases, just before I leave, I hand them a small stack of money and tell them its for their ‘living expenses’. I think it was SEAJ in another topic that mentioned paying everytime or something and I agree. Even if they don’t ask, I pay.

Okay… this is much longer than I expected. (I’m going to skip some WU stories I was going to add till I have more time). What am I trying to say? I think its possible to get all the fun and connections you get with bar girls with HG’s with minimal negatives, yet minimising the risk and danger of being too open in HK that I myself am trying to avoid.

Of course, all this assumes its not hard for you to get away from HK to China and also clearly knowing Mandarin is a definite plus since while sex is a universal language, to really connect, talking is important too otherwise there would be a lot of dead air!
