First of all, big shouts out to all the bros on this forum. I've been on several monger-forums over the years, and while all start out with good intentions, they tend to degenerate into in-jokes/flame-wars/one-liners more suited to Twitter. This one, the English-language side of the sex141.com, hasn't.
But no forum can please everyone. I know there was a big controversy midyear, I didn't agree with it 100%, and I understand and respect the opinions of the concerned parties. After giving it some thought, (and in some cases speaking with the people involved) I decided to keep contributing here.
It doesn't mean I don't contribute elsewhere. I'm involved in various writing practices professionally and otherwise, so my continuing contributions here are always aimed at developing that inner-voice. What's gratifying to me is when bros read and comment on what I've written. I learn from you guys. I too love reading reports, and the creativity many writers have shown on this board (not to mention the fotos, and some of you are PROS with the digicams, I have mad respect for your skills).
Personally, this board has been a psychological boost. 2010 was a lousy year, and when I joined about a year ago, I was struck by the "spirit of sharing/caring" we have here. I had time off and I picked up The Hobby again (I never stopped, just slowed waaaaaaay down and got in a rut), and started writing.
Some of it was stream-of-consciousness and some was carefully crafted. When I started writing with "other voices"--the first one was Betty describing Jack, and you're looking at several levels of rewrite there. I wanted to capture her voice while maintaining unity of tense, etc. It was more work than I'd expected, it was good practice and it's a piece I still like. I went back in and described more of my life in Bangkok during that year, processing the pix and realizing just how lousy my 2002 Nikon digicam was! It was storytelling of a unique nature, and people tuned in: I got comments like "When's the next installment?" And if you've read this far, here's a foto to KEEP you reading! Thanks.

I believe that if a writer does their job properly, people recognize it and want to read more. This spurred me to write more tales of Bangkok-tail. It was a highly enjoyable time in my life, and it was good to revisit it within a structure.

I would have gone back for seconds (it was a bit weird dorfing another gal in 'Miki's room'), but there was some business squabble and the Mido was no longer a place to monger for awhile.
