just read that story, that's some really scary stuff.
This happened to a friend of mine some years ago in Washington DC in a bar which was not a girly bar or pickup joint, but a rock 'n roll bar which was known for up-and-coming rock acts which later went on to fame and fortune. After the first set of a band we went to see, See all left about 12:45 am a friend there who was going to catch the next set.
He's not sure what happened to him but he woke up in an alley one block away from the bar at 7:00 AM beside garbage cans and had been robbed: car keys and wallet and phone. he basically walked to his parents house which took him about two hours as they lived in a Washington suburb. Later that day, he went back with a spare set of keys to collect his car and it stolen. As his car is disabled without the keys, someone took his keys and walked around to all the cars fitting the type of key he had, a Merc, and found the right one and drove it away.
He remembers talking to some guy at the bar, and then waking up in the alley, and nothing else. I told him ro get a full physical checkup, you never know what else could have happened to him in addition to being robbed.
About three weeks later the car was found in a alley in a bad part of town, stripped.
Keep on mongering, carefully
