Well I guess and joe can get the premier "credit card" now as 8 years ago when I had the real Premier "bank account" min 1 million hkd in the account. To get it in hong kong!

You still have to have 1 million in your account yes, total balance. Stocks, investments, insurance, time deposits.

You will never ever get an HSBC Premier account setup anywhere in the world with just 100hkd. Impossible.

Alright, did not know about the 100k hkd limit in Canada.. Even in Thailand you need to have a total balance of 4 million THB, so I'm a bit surprised to hear about the canadian account. Takes away the "premier" feel to it, doesn't it?

The limit of my HSBC cards is what they came with. My SO's card has the same limit. But I'm sure you can raise the limit if needed. I have other banks and other cards also so never needed any more than that.


I was thinking of going to Tsuen Wan for some walk-up action today. But got stuck here instead, haha. Now it is too late to go all the way out there.

Glad u taught them a lesson. On another occasion some poor guy with no manager connections may not have been able yo deal with the situation.

I'm less concerned with the amount of funds you need to have to hold a Premier card, and do not really care that much. But if anyone is interested my Barclaycard platinum has a shite limit!!

What does concern me as this is an anonymous forum is, if I am an actual friend of hkmann, my chances of being robbed/ripped off have gone through the roof!

No worries about the hijacking - I think the thread had already run it's course anyway.

But I was less-than-thrilled by how aggressively a bro got attacked on here and made to defend himself.  I think I would have bailed out long before posting screen-shots of my bank account!!!  

Incidently - I was a member here for roughly 1 year before making my first post.  I joined, checked out the DB once or twice, then never came back.  Then came back last Jan for some reason and starting reading and enjoying the forum - and finally made a post.  So, this behavior is not that odd...

We HAVE had a lot of fakers lately, but if every new post is gonna have 2 pages of nasty interrogation this forum will get dull quickly.

I do admire the way the way a lot of fakers have been caught, but I think we need to relax a bit....

While I agree with you that interrogations leaves a bad taste in some people's mouths, with increasing numbers of fake posters it leaves us with no option but to interrogate ... at least it gives that person a chance to reply ...

One thing we can thank our lucky stars on is these fake posters are usually limited to the Newbies and International sections !

I too was a member for a while before I really got into the hang of things.

I was a Newbie & posted in the international section (Not a faker honest)

Did a couple of pretty lame reports in the beginning, but spent most of my time browsing, and for my sins not reporting the experiences I have had.
Not that I have had as many as some of the seniors here. But I do tend to be in HK 3 - 4 times a year, and quite often take a trip across to Macau for a Sauna experience (Only ever done East Spa).
Most of the time not reporting was more to do with being a little intimidated, and that my reports may seem a bit crappy. Probably due to the fact that you are initially posting for people we don't know.
However in the past couple of months I have sought to get past this, and it really is easier than I thought, as all the bros are quite supportive   
I'm sure had I embraced this earlier, I would be higher on the rankings, but there you have it.

What I like about this forum, now I have the hang of things is. It is great to read peoples experiences, have a good debate, there is humour here, which makes me smile, and very rarely does anyone take any real offence or hold a grudge.

I did report about that episode - it was when I got roofied back in April.  Not a great or exciting tale, mind you.  Just a warning to other Bros to watch their drinks.  If you wish, search for a thread called "I got roofied friday nite".

I was reported missing to the police and then had the follow-up meetings with them to prove I was no longer missing and report the drugging..
