Edit.
And an answer to this, I have never had a problem with my credit cards, before or after this happened. But I would assume I would have to file a police report, no?

A bar in Hong Kong that charges lots of money for drinks. I bet bills like mine are not that uncommon. I decided it was not worth pursuing.

Ps edit:

and as far as being "involved in legal procedure" - anybody who's had problems with Credit cards (which I'd think would include at least a large number of us) knows that all it takes is just a phone call to the CC company and they handle the rest.

I agree! I apologize, also.

I know I have been lurking for a long time. But intend to contribute a lot more from now on. I am not sitting home making up stories for the fun of it as suggested by SEAJ.

PM me if you want to verify anything. Thx!

Yes, NOT uncommon for Wanchai bars to over charge and rack your credit card up.

But first time I've heard of any of these bars actually forging CC charges

QUOTE:
Unfortunately more than 12k as they maxed my card, 40k limit. I only saw the 12k bill, for the other bills the forged my signature.

And in fact - how is it that they were able to "Max out" your credit limit? What, they presented a series of credit card bills to the CC company and wait to see which ones passes OK and forget the rest which exceeded your Limit?

And Sorry - since you've publicly written out something which affects Hong Kong's reputation, I insist on this matter being out in the open.

If I knew how they did it I would let you know. I saw one bill of 12k hkd. But was billed 27k hkd which was the remaining amount up to my maximum limit of 40k hkd, a HSBC Visa gold card.

Hong Kong is not perfect and sorry to ruin it for you by telling my story. My buddy had his hotel room cleaned out last week, shit happens. But those stories are nothing compared to Finlands top police chief who bit the bullet after a night out in wan chai.

Please, just drop it. You are barking up the wrong tree.

There is a curtain bar near Old China called Waikiki and I don't see anything that isn't possible in this post.  Bros HAVE been getting roofied from time to time so crime DOES happen.  The presence of thugs is the big surprise to me, however -- I've never seen any kind of bouncer-types near those curtain bars (but I suppose they must have some given the business they are in - they must need them with all the drunken punters staggering about).

a decade ago some of these 'curtain' bars had 'bouncers' but they were mostly frail old men (probably the MMS's husband) who didn't look like they could fight their way out of a wet bag ... but ... one day in the morning I saw one of them easily lift 4/5 cases of beer from a trolly and brought it into the bar !!!

Thanks wander. It does happen. I've had other friends who got taken to the cleaners in the curtain bars.

Another friend of mine met a girl in LKF who he brought back to his home in mid-levels, a caucasian girl. Woke up the next day not remembering anything. Lost an AP Offshore and some money.

One of the "thugs" was the guy behind the bar. Have no idea where the other guy came from. They probably have guys hanging around since I doubt it is the first time they had to strong arm someone into paying.

Look-it hkman - yes, I bark, and I do bark loud when somebody writes anything that's unsubstantiated AND does do harm against any establishments, persons and of course whole cities - like you did to Hong Kong.

I would have just dropped it if you had just acknowledged say like "yeah, I probably over-embellished/over-sensationalized what happened to me, Ooops - but I WAS way over-charged when I was shit-faced - so watch out in Wanchai guys!" Or something like that.

And it's Kari Juhani Koivuniemi, 45, a chief superintendant with the Finland police, who suffered a fatal heart attack in Hong Kong in 2003 after he was given Rohypnol and robbed by a prostitute.  But what's that got anything to do with the price of rice .... or what we're discussing?

Except of course that such death had sparked outrage in Hong Kong a few years back which in turn brought about swift action by the Hong Kong police...which made perpetrators of these Rohypnol crimes to lay low.  So.... you sure that your "friend' got Ruffied LAST WEEK???
Very sure now??!!
LOL!

SEAJ

Ps edit:
I did some Googling on the Wanchai Ruffieing cases; 44 REPORTED  cases to 2003 - 2009. couldn't find any more cases last few years

You are right, I was overcharged. They put a whole tray of shot glasses next to me they said I ordered. If you think it is over-embellished, fine. But that is what happened.

I am sorry if was winding you up, can we bury the hatchet now?

My friend from Bkk said he had no idea if he was drugged or not. He doubted it, but the wg bought a small bottle of red wine at 7-11 that they shared. Drugged or not drugged all of the items listed were gone when he woke up. He was not feeling bad or anything. Maybe she just  saw that he was sleeping deeply and took the opportunity? Married man and a flight the same day. Also chalked it up to hard loss.

My other friend is sure he was drugged though. He only had a couple of drinks and was not drunk. They had a couple of drinks at his house and after that he blacked out.

Edit:
I think a lot of people decide not to report cases like these to the police. Especially if married etc. I doubt 44 is even in the same ballpark as the real figure.

Well, I must agree with SEAJ's post here...

Your so called DAN DAN experience which came out of nowhere from a 4 year ago punt with such great details.  I mean being around for so long I am sure if you had been so active in the forums you would know this DAN DAN warning was mentioned 2 times alone over the last 3 months alone that I have been a member so as your report is a good warning, a little late.

Secondly although nothing wrong, you have started to be really active over the last couple days with all post being really strange and extreme ones of some pretty strange events that you handled very differently from most.  I MEAN 40k??? I don't think even the richest person in HK would just let it go and take it as a hard lesson learned.   And if your credit is only 40k, 12k seems a very steep loss in my opinion.

Thirdly whats the deal with http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/v ... &extra=page%3D1 ??  I know you say you was shit faced but the unusual splurge of postings all being out of the norm and stating about being a longer member than SEAJ means ???  All it tells me is that you have shared very little to non in the past and actually surprises me that having contributed next to none you have decided to even mention this to back your argument.

Pretty sure plenty of people have lost more than I did. My friends loss totalled more than 100k hkd. The list price for my friends AP is close to 200k hkd. I have a few of credit cards, that gold card only has a limit for 40k. My HSBC premier credit card has a limit of 48k hkd.

I have been a member for a long time. I have been lurking yes. But decided to start sharing, please let me do so and you will realize that I have a lot to contribute to this forum.

I was out of line with the reply to SEAJ and we have buried the hatchet.

Look if you want to do some kind of interrogation then PM instead.

Thanks SEAJ. The real reason why I've not posted before is pure laziness! I've honestly been planning to write but then I let time pass and figure no one wants to read old stories anyway. I have just abused the forum for my own benefit for which I apologize. Not even bothered checking out the lounge or any of the other sub-forums.

I'll try to share more from now.

Be warned, I get smashed sometimes and end up at Players(formerly known as brigdes) and drink until I fall off a cliff. If I'm logged in there might be shitty report like last night.

Ok sorry just because of the fun spirit of this season hope you don't take any offense to this.

100k loss from your friends through CC forgery and didn't contact CC company?? (Highly doubt it!)

By AP i am guessing it means Apartment??  200k HKD Apartment,  you sure about that as a standard car easily cost more than that.  I highly doubt its a typo either but I don't know if you mean for this comment to give us the impression that your friend is really rich guy or that he lives in a box...

And about your CC limit.  Not to impose on your financials, but 40k is very low and by telling us you have a premier account with a 48k HKD limit makes me wonder really how old you are and if you truly have a PREMIER account.  I mean you have to have 1 million HKD to have a Premier account from what I remember, but it could be higher now but 48k limit is really not happening if you truly have this account type.

2 suggestions to leave you with.

1- Either ask your parents or friends next time before quoting figures about having a PREMIERE account as your dwarfed figures really show how unaware you are ofHONG KONG and its property prices and bank standards for having particular accounts.  (In other words, made up figures yours are)

2- Continue to have fun posting and see when you really get busted next time you try to take us bro's for total idiots!!.

Cheers and have fun!

J

Really?

If you had read the whole thread you would know what my friends lost. AP is Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore rubber. My buddy from Bangkok lost two macbook air's, iphone 4, ipad 2 and a rolex deepsea sea dweller. Do the numbers.

It appears you do not have a premier account, well I do. I am going to log in to my bank account and post a screen dump in a minute because now you have pissed me off.

And you're doing a great job making yourself look like a proper idiot!

Edit.
Added screendump.
