Something my friends & I have been speaking about recently that I thought I would put on here....

We live in the New Territories area, close to Tuen Mun.

The Chinese Border crossing 'Shenzhen Bay' is literally 20 minutes in a taxi from where we live - this costs no more than 110 Hong Kong Dollars...

A taxi to Wan Chai from where we live is roughly 280 Hong Kong Dollars.... So a return taxi to Wan Chai is roughly say 600 Dollars...

Drinks in Shekou = 15 RMB for a Beer..

Drinks in Wan Chai average around 50 Dollars for a beer...

Girls drinks in Shekou 40 RMB....

Girls drinks in Wan Chai roughly 75 Dollars, unless the bitch orders a cocktail or the Shiny shots that f**king costs 110 dollars

Short time (depending on girls or bar) in Shekou - roughly 300/400 RMB for around 2 hours...

Short time in Wan Chai - roughly 1000 dollars, depending on time (if it is late at night it will be cheaper) or depending on how sexy the girl is it may be more expensive...

See where I am heading with this?????

Plus I have now found a hotel in Shekou (not the best hotel) but it has a bed and a hot shower - it is 200 RMB a night!!!!

Say you drink 10/15 beers in a night = 280 Dollars for your drinks

Taxi fares including China and Hong Kong Taxi's = 330

Hotel (HKD) = 250 HKD

Girls drinks (I normally buy around 10 girls drinks a night, tight ass I know) = 500 HKD

Short time = 500 HKD

Total = 1860

So a whole night including a ride less than 2,000 dollars...

Now let's take a look at Wan Chai....

10/15 beers at 50 HKD = 750 Dollars

Taxi return = 600 Dollars

Hotel (short time 2 hours, although they bang on the door after 90 minutes )= 250 Dollars

Girl Short time = 800/1000 Dollars

Girls drinks (10 again) = 750 Dollars

Total = 3350 Dollars

Just a rough estimation, I know a lot of guys spend a lot more than that in both Shekou and Wan Chai....

I think I'll be spending more time in Shekou

A hotel overnight for the same price as 2 hours in Wan Chai.

It is only natural for those who live close to the border in the NT to go to Shenzhen for entertainment, shopping, and relaxing. Many of the locals in the NT do so because it is just so close. Time and money are saved.

There are only about 2 advantages that Wanchai may have over Shekou:

1) If GFE becomes FB which then becomes crazy, sticky Bitch in Shekou, it is much harder for that girl to just pop-over the border to look for you in HK. In a sense, HK is your refuge.

2) If you get caught with a wg in China, then you are violation of law and may face penalties such as fines and jail time (avg 15 days). Financial, time, and face loss.

Yes I agree to number two - and number 1 to a certain extent.

I never tell any WC girl where I live. No matter how serious, I always just say Tuen Mun, although I live just outside of it.

The girls always get tip off's about the police. I have never seen girls move so fast when they get the call...

You should consider moving to Shekou for a fraction/at least half of the cost of living in Hong Kong.  Now you're talkin' about some serious $$ savings!

Cross border buses from Shenzhen Bay to Wanchai is RMB 50 (I think) and takes you less than an hour.   But who REALLY needs to go back to Hong Kong if China is already your play yard then?! LOL!

Another big consideration: Wanchai generally = south east asian (filipinos), Shekou = mainland chinese.

20 mins from Tuen Mun to the border? That's slow!! lol...
Actually last week I took the bus from Wanchai to Huanggang for HKD50 at midnight. It took only 30 minutes to get to the border! SO FAST!!!

It is slow lol but it is due to traffic through Tuen Mun.

I am actually considering moving to Shenzhen later this year, apartment a very cheap indeed. But at the minute I am staying in Hong Kong, lots of things to sort out with business etc. Plus my apartment is paid up until later in the year anyway.

I have never been really attracted to filipino's. I have always preferred Chinese or Thai to them.

You just answered your own question there. If you don't like filipinos there is no point going to Wanchai.

One thing is that China's tax is higher than HK, if you earn a good wage it is much higher - to 45% whereas HK is a fraction of that.
