Ok, yesterday i was writing up a HG post, i normally write it up in notepad *don't want to write it from the site just in case the browser fucks up or something, then after typing up i would simply copy and paste it in to the site and submit, during the day i was talking to the boss on msn, he wanted some text so tried to copy some work document for him and paste it to his msn, i did the copying but it instead it pasted part of the HG post and without looking i press SEND..SHITTTTTTTTTT...so he came up to me with a wink , i was shit nervous   and said what have i been up to?? i said wot are u talking about?   so be careful with your copy and pasting!

Similarly, whenever I am writing a report (I tend to write mine in the browser) I need to copy and paste the link for the girl I've seen. After I have pasted the link details into the report, I ALWAYS make sure to copy some innocuous text and re-paste just to make sure it is the most recent copy into the cache.

I share this machine with my SO, so a slip-up would be fatal.

I also only use Firefox to look at and write reports, and when I close FF, all private data clears. For all other browsing, I and my SO use Safari. I've buried the link to FF so that it's not easy to just click on it. I also downloaded a bunch of other browsers, under the guise that I was trying to find a browser that was compatible with a streaming video site I use...

my tip now is instead of copy and paste innocent text, i will cut and paste this cancel any cache from previous copies

Same shit happened to me in office.
I can open > 1 MSN account at the same time, I use MSN Shell. 1 for office use, 1 personal friends/families, 1 for 141 buddies, 1 for the WGs/freelancer and 1 for random chicks from the web.

Once I copy the 141 link of a DB gal and wanted to share with a 141 bro but accidental sent to my buddy colleague, next thing he asked me was "What;'s my handle in 141? Chinese or English forum?".......WTF!!!!!!!!!!
But I told him, what's that about? I got this link from my friend and just want to share it with you.....
I have too many MSN windows all over the screen, some overlapping and usually get get mix up....multi-tasking is tough!!!

In Windows, whenever you copy anything, it goes into a small utility called the Clipboard. There is a way to view and edit the contents of the Clipboard by placing a shortcut to it on the desktop.

For Windows XP (and I think this works for Vista as well):

1. RIGHT click an empty space on your desktop.
2. Choose "NEW" then "SHORTCUT" from the menu.
3. This starts a wizard. Where it says "Type the location of the item", type in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\clipbrd.exe" (Without quotation marks, and assuming that your OS is on drive letter C)
4. Click Next
5. Name the shortcut "Clipboard Viewer"
6. Click finish

Anytime you want to see the contents of the clipboad, click on this shortcut. You can edit, copy, or delete the info from the clipboard.

If you don't want to put a shortcut on the desktop, you can always view the contents of the clipboard by pressing Windows key + r, then type in "clipbrd" (without quotation marks). This will call up the Clipboard.

To follow up on Bro Marsupial's post - for Mac users (like me), you can see your clipboard by accessing Finder, click on Edit, then Show Clipboard. As far as I can tell, the Mac only stores the very last thing copied, so as long as you copy something innocent after you have pasted your less-than-innocent 141 stuff, you should be fine... I think...

Last week, optus sent me an SMS telling me about the police turning up at a few Macau saunas. I decided to call the manager I know at D1 to ask him what he knew about this. The thing was, his name is the same as a young relative of mine in HK, so their entries are next to each other on my phonebook... Yep, you guessed it! I called my relative thinking it was the D1 manager, and although when he answered I thought his voice sounded slightly different, nothing clicked since I hadn't spoken to my relative for ages...

Relative: Hi. What's up?
Linguist: Alright? Hey, you sound different? Got a cold?
Relative: Do I? No, not got a cold.
Linguist: Heard there was some trouble in Macau last night...
Relative: What?
Linguist: Lots of Chinese girls got arrested in Macau last night, right? You know?
Relative: Huh? Sorry can't hear you properly [noisey HK traffic in background, kids crying, etc]
Linguist: Lots of Mainland girls got arrested... Like at 18... Did you hear?
Relative: Sorry? Arrested? Who? What?
Linguist: Oh, sorry! I'll call you back. [Suddenly realising the mistake]
Relative: OK.

Five minutes later, after banging my head against the wall a few times...

Linguist: Hi. Sorry, I called the wrong number just now! I was after a colleague with the same name as you. He'd sent me a Chinese SMS which I couldn't understand properly.
Relative: Oh, right. You can forward me the message and I'll translate for you.
Linguist: Oh, it's OK. I'll just give him a call back. Thanks.
Relative: Ok.
Linguist: Yeah, Ok. Bye!

I've sent an email to a colleague signed TD.    Now I freakin super careful and check my real name a million times before sending anything.

haha thats pretty funny.  I remember doing something similar with one of my ex-girlfriends....managed to lie my way out but still.  Gotta remember to be careful from now on!
